I liked it too. More interesting, however, was a look at the old website, on geocities. I liked the webcam and FAQ.

I just realized that the comics weren't up today, as I just had a chance to get online. I was going to put mine on my message board, as I usually do, but I can't even get into my freakin' FTP now!
Your post on my board was right, this does make us look bad to the average reader who doesn't know of the server problems. If only there was a way to direct them to a mirror site when ours is not updating correctly.
~dave
------------------

That was one of the most inspired things I ever read.

Yeah, I did that back in '95. I was a freshman in college, and I received a bunch of Seuss e-mails (if a packet hits a pocket etc), and I told a friend (HannibalV of the Vicious Lies boards) I ought to do one. Being a big Trekker, I said I should do ST:TNG, "but what would I rhyme with Worf?"
He thought for about half a second and said, "Morph?"
Ten minutes later, I sent that out over e-mail to a dozen friends. Since then, it's appeared on more than 10,000 individual websites, many with no credit given, some with incorrect credit given, and many with the wrong e-mail address (although I can be reached at DeMorseaux at aol dot com as well.) I've gotten fan e-mail from several different countries, as well as requests to do the other Trek shows. I have NOT done the other Trek shows, so if you find ST:Voyager or ST :DS9 done by Seuss, they're NOT MINE. And I wouldn't WANT to claim them.
Was this the first time you read it?
Hmm... methinks I should add it to my own site and then advertise again. Heh.
There was once a cartoon version, done by a lady named Marissa something-or-other, but she took it down, and I can't find it or her anywhere. I may draw my own cartoon for it now, who knows... but yeah, I'll be happy to send you a signed copy. I'll need to know where to send it, of course... I've got a mailto link at Vicious Lies (coughcoughwantthetrafficcoughcough) if you need it.
--Strange/Dave
Edit: Forgot to remove smilies. ST:DS9 looked awful weird.
------------------

No, I ran across it years ago. Actually, come to think of it, when I still worked (contract) at Lilly. What goes around comes around.

Oddly, I've had situations where I've gotten up in the night to write down really good ideas, but within a month the exact plot I had envisioned for a novel is suddenly in a novel I'm reading. For example, back in my Star Trek: the Next Generation fandom days, I came up with an idea for a Trek book involving a large gemstone with residual psychic imprinting that affected anyone who held it. A short while later, I was reading a Trek book that had -- surprise! A large gemstone that psychically affected anyone who held it.
To my surprise, the idea was not good. The book was awful, a sort of grotesque retelling of The Lord Of The Rings in space, turning each crewmember into Gollum in his/her turn.
A friend of mine insists I'm having some kind of psychic pick-up. I don't really believe in that (much), but it's remarkable how consistently bad my dream-ideas turn out to be -- at least, when done by other people. Heh.
--Strange/Dave
------------------
