Yeah, it's heavy alright.
I liked how many different instant
stereotypes he conveyed, and he didn't
cheapen it by putting opposites in
each successive panel (Panel A reigious
nut, Panel B atheist, for example).
Plus, it was just kinda funny.
------------------

Things are good. I finally hit a sort of lull.
I always keep up with the Doodle, though. You have been doing some stellar work lately. I love the holodeck [and its related comments at this site], the lego construction project, the huge falling bags of garbage inundating a harried BoxJam. There have been others I can't recall at the moment, as well. I'm enjoying Mallethead, too. I hope that someday you have him use his special skill to quench the flames of a suspicious, burning bag left on his front porch by someone who has rung the doorbell and skidoodled.

Do you really think that's what I was saying? Just because I think that calling something "gay" as a derisive term, even when you're trying at humor, is a bit insulting, and because I decided to believe you were doing it out of ignorance instead of malice, and because I told you why I thought it was, at the very least, in poor taste, because of that you think that I want everyone to be the same?!?!?!
Grow up. It was damned offensive. Maybe not where you come from, but it was offensive to me. After the sixth time, I felt I should speak up, 'coz you probably didn't know. I then tried to let it go, even make light of it. I know you think I'm being thin-skinned and hyper-PC, but consider what it might be like being someone where it isn't okay to be different, and hearing the only word you know for what you are being tossed about as an insult. Think how that would feel.
Now drop it.
Sincerest apologies to Mr. Boxjam for abusing his thread. My fault entirely for bringing it up in the first place. Nate, if you sincerely feel this is an issue, come to my forum, where we won't bother anyone.
------------------
