The reason you were more wrong than a contestant on "Who Wants to Be a Millionare" who misses the first question is becuase you put the comma between the adjective ("one armed") and the noun ("third grader"). Dickens of course used the before the quotes comma and period position, but that is, after all, the "correct" way to do things.
