I think BoxJam needs a URL. I'd vote for www.boxjamsdoodle.com
Any other suggestions?
And by the way my spinoff is the BoxNJammer Kids. If I knew how to post it on the board I would.
------------------

Robb:
Just upload it to your own server and use the UBB img tags around the image URL. Click edit on one of the ones up there to see the code.

------------------

Oh my!
I just decided to check in on BoxJam, and not really thinking typed in the url www . boxjam . com (spaces added because I do NOT want that to become a link!). Needless to say, I did not find my favorite blue-background doodle!
Still, it's not QUITE as devious as one that has since been fixed. I occasionally visit http://www.gamefaqs.com when I get stuck in some video game or another. At one time the url http://www.gamefaq.com (missing the 's') took you to...
a site very much like the boxjam site mentioned above. Considering the number of kids that use GameFAQs, I can understand why they took steps to get that one to redirect to their site.
Pooga, who wouldn't mind these pr0n sites so much if they didn't open five new windows every time you close one.

The last time I tried boxjam.com, I got a 'cannot find server or DNS error' message.
I liked that a lot better than what I got just now trying it.
On an unrelated note, why does the spinoff thread have to take so long to download for me? Mean thread.
------------------

There are 76 posts, so probably around 45 pictures, ranging from my carefully limited 5 KB to Lee's obscenely prolific 45KB or so. None has size tags (because UBB code doesn't provide for that) so your browser has to get the first few bytes of each one in order to see how big it is before it feels confident enough to draw that whopping big table (because it could draw it too small, and then what would it do when one of those pictures was too big?) (There's a lot of pressure and stress for browsers.)
So it loads the HTML for the page, then it opens 50 or so connections and starts downloading pictures. That takes a long time.

Well, I've been downloading them (you know
why? I'm thinking of making a page out of
them - whaddya think?), and most are pretty
small - there are a couple of .bmps that I'll
convert, but mostly, it's just a LOT of
pictures.

------------------

Mebbe what you oughta do to save yourself some work is ask Nate for a new domain for BoxJam Spinoffs---I believe BOXJAMBOREE was a suggested title---(Or start it on a free server elsewhere), and let it be sort of a public access deal. Give us all the password and, when we come up with new ones, we can ftp 'em into a 'new_spinoff' directory, and periodically you can go in and update the page. Of course, we'd always link to the Spinoff site THROUGH the original Doodle, to give you all the hits.
Or not.

------------------

Some of us are just too lazy to include size tags, because that involves actually noting *and remembering for long enough to input the information* how big the image is. And I have no memory. I think. What was I talking about again?
*throws another Barbie at the shrimp*
------------------
