bup:

My client, Loserboy, has indicated to me that he will forego further legal action in exchange for your frequent return to the Bucket, and payment of my attorney's fees.

Very truly yours,

Antoine, Esq.

PS: I got my Doodle shirt. It's excellent!!!

Hey Antoine!

I saw Hydro the other night - forgive me, but I didn't recognize your 'real name' in the order until Hydro mentioned to me in passing Antoine's 'real name.'

If you follow.

Anyway, by that time I had already mailed your shirt, so I couldn't write anything about Gil Thorp or anything on your package.

Glad you like the shirt - all that glowing garbage I've written on the t-shirt page about brunetto shirts is true - he does a great job. I'm proud of them.

Get the Bucket to come over here.

Be careful what you wish for. We've already decided that if TMS kills the Bucket, we're migrating here en masse. I'm not sure if your server can handle the non-stop barrage of meaningless drivel -- and that's just from gaylon!!

Hey, I resent that! I can drivel meaninglessly with the best of 'em! Oops, wait a minute, that was drivel, not dribble. Sorry, my bad, 'scuse me while I go grab a napkin.

There's no denying it -- you're the King (and not in a fat Elvis, shooting out the television while eating fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches way, either).

Hey, bup:

Is Littel Timmy Tremblay related to the former Canadien great J.C. Tremblay, who played for the Nords for a couple of years at the end of his career?

Just wondering.

Your hockey geek friend,

Yes indeed. He was found as an infant waif on JC's stoop.

So, anyway, here I am spending a very quiet evening with my hand firmly on the tiller of A Major Airline. So quiet, in fact, that I had ample opportunity to mosey on over to the Bucket, and catch up a littel. All of a sudden, I heard this loud *thump*. Know what it sounded like? It sounded like somebody falling off a wagon! Seriously! Hope nobody got hurt.

Boxjam -
Please see our previous correspondence (2/22/02) about the use of my name in your strip. The agreement reached at that time still stands. Unless one of those discarded characters illustrated today is intended to be me, there has likely been a serious violation of our agreement. I won't settle for the headstone representing me either.

Although Antoine is on thin ice for accusing Illinois of cheating in recruiting, I still have him on retainer as my attorney.

Don't make me dip into the fund.

Yours truly,
lb

Bup,

Don't let him scare ya. He isn't called "Loserboy" 'cuz he wins these things. Just pointing out the obvious.

Yer pal,

While your point may be valid, Hydro, remember that he has retained one of the great persecuters to prosecute his persecution of bup.

Which is fine with me, 'cause it's smitin' season, and my smitin' stick is getting restless.

All that being said, I thought today's Doodle was hilarious -- notwithstanding bup's shameless infringement on loserboy's fine name.

Oh, pish posh. A corned beef sammich, a bowl of kreplach soup, and you're putty.

Seems I've picked up a bit 'o that persecutin' thing!
