Today's strip made me think of how well, and seamlessly, spot colour has been integrated into the strips after that first "experiment" only a few months ago.

Now, a Doodle without colour is like a day without sunshine.

A day without a Doodle is like a gaping hole in my soul.

Thanks for ruining my weekends, you bastard.

With cheese! Recovering from a recent serious accident, the doodle manages to restore me somehow, with the essential charm, the absurdly amusing concept, and the fact that cheese dominated my lunch. The familiar blue hues, even when imbued with outside color, are refreshingly comforting. Today's doodle has buoyed my spirits considerably. Thanks, BoxJam!

Doing much better by now. Long story, but fell, left leg and elbow fractured, other more minor injuries. Yesterday they removed my arm dressing and gave me a removable plastic splint, so I can type with both hands again. Been in a wheelchair, but leg's been improving considerably, and should be using a walker by tomorrow. Hopefully be fully recovered in another two weeks or so, hopefully less, and trying to take care of academic concerns and other matters interrupted by accident. Thanks for asking.

Oh, and the layout of today's Doodle was excellent.
