I heartily concur.
In fact, BoxJam, I nominated another comic originally, but I literally found myself lying awake at night arguing with myself. I finally realized that the only reason I hadn't voted for the Doodle was a skewed sense of loyalty to another very good comic. Yours, frankly, merits the BEST COMIC award. I voted for ya, Bup.
--Strange/Dave
------------------

Wow! I know I'm late with this, but I'm still playing catch up from my vacation.
I knew you deserved best comic. I just never thought that you'd actually win best comic against such stiff competition. Congratulations.
Between this, Brad's book being released, a celebrity dying that was actually on the Ghoul Pool (not to mention all those Cartoonists' Choice awards that Lee got), Triangle and Robert's Patrick Shaughnessy releasing an album on mp3.com, Tirdun's frenzied expansion and completion of the Toonbots Communist Saga and lord knows what else I haven't gotten to yet, I think I may have to make sure I stay connected the next time I take a vacation. I think it was pretty obvious that the Doodle deserved (and would probably get) the Best Comic award when being voted upon by fellow cartoonists. All one has to do is look at the "BoxJam Sightings" thread to see how many cartoonists read and/or respect the Doodle. BoxJam may well be the most cameo'd character in online comics right now.
FWIW, the award is well deserved, and you have the sincere congratulations of this lurker.
-Pi
------------------
