Y'know how when you were a kid you used to get a big bowl of some fairly bland cereal, like Cheerios or Rice Krispies, and just load about a pound bag of sugar on top, so that it turned into this grey, grainy mush at the bottom of the milk? Well, I've started doing that with my coffee here at work. I used to drink it black, but I find about an inch of sugar in the bottom of the cup intensifies the caffiene buzz to the point where I can't tell where my Tourette's Syndrome stops and the buzz begins.
It helps pass the day.

------------------

Yes, yes! a thousand times yes! For 'twere better to die a million ignominious deaths than to succumb to the tripe that passes for discourse in these sadly drained fora.
('Cause Keeners are weiners.)
------------------

This thread was funnier than Kathie Lee's singing career, Rosie O'Donnel's crush on Tom Cruise, and President Bush's *impartiality* towards oil companies versus the environment.
~dave
------------------

Was there any purpose in reviving such a thread which had justifiably been discarded so many moons ago? It's re-appearance is simply a further sign that this once lively haven of intellectually stimulating discourse has sadly degenerated into utterly loathsome banality to such an extent that the collapse of BoxJam's mighty empire is quite imminent, and soon we shall be reduced to mere shades of our former selves, longing to attain that feast of reason and flow of soul which we know lies eternally beyond our grasp. The sight of this thread has brought forth great feelings of despair and paranoia to such an extent that I am overwhlemed by a wave of anguish, and each reply to this accursed discussion merely contributes to the ever growing mental anguish which has engulfed my faculties and threatens to distort the very fabric of my existence, and the sheer insurmountable, relentless bleakness of it all may drive me to post my suicide note on Michael's forum, in the vain hopes that it might spark conversation of
some sort.
[This message has been edited by Lord Emsworth (edited 05-20-2001).]

Frodo's turn for exxageration:
BOXJAM IS A JERK! HE HASN'T REPLIED TO MY EMAIL! I've emailed him 1.5 billion times, in the last 2 hours, and he hasn't replied! He told me over the phone he would kill my family, and eat my pet rats!
------------------

Somebody started posting "The Creature" for no apparent reason -- and he's doing it as a narrative.
I couldn't decide whether or not to half-flame the guy for it. The thing is, this could get real annoying real fast -- it's like someone playing an RPG of Star Trek and suddenly deciding a character is a vampire. There doesn't seem to be any reason for it, and it goes against the "flow" of the conversation. On the other hand, it could turn out to be a real conversation-starter and/or one of the funniest things I've seen on a message board, if it's done well. I'll just have to wait and see.
I just want the guy to contact me so I have an idea where he's going with this.
--Strange/Dave
------------------

I was so unimpressed by the magnitude of this board, that I immediatly grabbed my monitor, drove over to the Boxjam residence, and threw it at Boxjam while he was taking out the trash. Then I backed over him a few times. Then I shot the blue angel trying to escape into heaven.

My fear at your words is causing my legs to shake with such force that seismologists are registering the disturbance in Taiwan, and every single person in Indianapolis is diving for cover.

My ego expanded in such a degree after hearing that someone actually feared me that now it is walking down to Southern California to beat up Elizabeth Taylor's ego.
Or maybe even BoxJam, that egomaniacal bastard.
(heh, boxjam is the anti-ego)
