Since I'm posting like a rabid wombat with some strange posting disorder, I just thought I'd say "Woohoo Owlie!"
Now, I've seen all of these before and enjoyed them immensely, and I'm just glad that they're seeing the light of day, even though it means no new Fat Jesus strips yet.
I hope that all of you will take a moment to consider the power of Owlie, and perhaps, just perhaps, to cower at his large feathers and enormous beak, with which he can crack many things. Yea, he is Owlie, and is destined for great things!
I think the reason why it didn't develop further than it did is because all the people I wanted to cast in the movie had died some number of years ago in an amazingly inept bowling accident. What so many world class actors were doing at one bowling hut is beyond me, but what a tragic loss THAT was.
One final note (have there been any other notes in here? I wasn't aware of any notes!):
People in Europe hate Owlie! One French woman said that he made her feel so dirty that she went and took a bath for the first time in years! And an Irishman said something along the lines of "EGAD! Me drinkin' cannae blind me from someting so monstrous!" But I couldn't tell because he was a drunken IRISHMAN!
Bob "I refuse to apologize to anyone because I'm above reproach and my country is A-One Super Good!" Scott
-at least until there's another country in charge! Then IT'S the best, because it will say that it is!
------------------

Hated in Europe, eh? I haven't heard that, but did you know the Canadians treat Owlie as a sexual aid? It's true! You can't even see normal owls on TV because of him!
Dave "Owlie is one smooth operator!" Smith

Hmmm - am I the only one who sees the resemblance between Owlie's family and furbies?
Matt "Tiger Electronic's new toy for the self-unesteemed" Van Wormer

I once had a Teddy Ruxpin. Oh, he was innocent enough for a while. He'd talk along with his little stories, he'd even sing along to music cassetes... but then he got greedy and developed an insatiable appetite for innocent cassete tapes... chewed them right up and spat them out.
Matt "He's not the only thing buried in my backyard" Van Wormer
-- whoops, did I post that out loud? Wait, that doesn't sound right... I'll let you guys debate the meaning.
