Spoony! The favorite word of Mark Shallow's Adventurers. I never knew it's origin, cause I never played FF1 or FF2. I finished 7, then finished tactics (which is very much to my liking), then finished 8, most of 5, some of 6, and finally working through 9 (third disc still!) I may go back and work on 6 and 5 again, but I also have shenmue to finish (2nd disc there) and about a thousand more chrono cross endings to get. So far I have only 2 under my belt, but I also have a *lot* of rainbow shells and colorful things for weapons, items, and armors.
I did play chrono trigger most of the way through, but on an emulator. I enjoyed it, but so many games, so little time! I can really see why fast paced action games like super smash brothers 64 are such a hit. Jump into the action, pound away on a colorful stage for a few minutes, then hit the power button and you're done! No commitment gaming! No save crystals or save moogles, and no 2 hour flashback sequences... (FF7 anyone?)
I got a few hits from damonk, or not_damonk, or evil_damonk, or whatever, but not that many in comparison to the neobaka link, which was practically invisible! Grey text on a grey background in size -1000 font, but people saw it and clicked it like it was going out of style. I got hundreds of referrals from the neobaka site, not altogether unlike that previous valentine message board post in your forum here (which is still in second place for all time top referrers).
I have a fortune cookie message I got at lunch today that I'll be posting in another hot message board tonight, so we'll see if it's the funny pictures in the forums that bring readers, or the scantily clad robot women.
I also think that gift art brings quite a few readers. I noticed Nick Yu of BBoCS has done gift art for just about every strip on the planet. Plus, when you get a gift art from someone, you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, like when you eat a cat. No that's not right... Plus gift art is fun to do, you can go crazy, show off, lots of people will probably see it, and you can do as much or as little as you like! No commitment drawing!
JB
No commitment forum posting!
------------------
