Whats the fur/non ratio here? I know its high on CRFH, due to reasons plentiful, and funky. But, ive not seen much of chars here, due to a lack of war/party threads...
Hmmm..... Hey Ter. You wouldnt happen to be able to fix that?

Um... what language is this?

I tried to reply to this before and something screwed it all up.
A "fur" is a fan of cartoons with human-like animal characters.
I don't consider myself as one, as the only funny-animal cartoon I currently follow is Eric Schwartz's Sabrina Online.

I say down with all furs, unless they be lycantropes of some sort of variety with much angst. Angsty were-creature very good!

I'll admit to being a furry fan. Don't honestly understand why anyone would have a problem with it, either.

Perhaps it has something to do with the frequency of (pun sorta intended) "monkey spank" in them.

I haven't noticed an higher sexual content in furry cartoons/comics/etc than in "normal" ones. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places?

One of my Tampa buddies has been a big fur fan...drawing his own comics and stuff like that, and was heavily into (at least fictional, don't know about factual) bestiality. We joked in the club that if we robbed Fort Knox, we'd have him seduce the guard dogs.
I'm willing to accept the perception v. reality argument. Perhaps sexuality in fur comics is no more prevalent than in non-fur comics. I don't feel the need to research the matter myself.

Ehhh...
I'm either way on this issue.
I like lycanthropes much better than furries.
Though the occasional cat- or bunny-girl can really get me going...

No offense to anyone, but... I hope I'll never see the day when war/party threads start popping up on this board. So unnecessary..

Yeah, it's one of the things I despise in the CRFH board...

I stand by the PA guys. I think they made good calls about furries, ninjas and wishbone.

DAMMIT! You are borrowing trouble just by posting this here! Who *cares* what the fur/non-fur ratio is on some forum for a comic that has almost nothing (do muppets count?) to do with anthro content! I wish my fellow furry fans would show some restraint and not go all activist when somebody points and says "Agh! Freak!" The same goes for just pulling the topic out of thin air and springing it on somebody just to start a discussion. Be content to be yourself; you don't need approval from anybody, and if somebody thinks you're a freak, so what?
In a meta-ontopic digression, over on the Class Menagerie Forum, we do our dead-level best to keep the "war" and "party" threads down to zero, and the discussions on the strip, the plot, the characters, speculations, fanfic and fanart, and thigns like that. We do it by leading by example and coming down increasingly firmly on new members until they get the hang of that particular forum's culture. I haven't been following the FANS board for long enough to tell how y'all do it.

You know, I don't know what it is some of you guys have against the CRFH board. It's a fun place, and it's not entirely composed of nonsense. We have plenty of comic relevant threads, as well as art and fanfic, so don't think that this board is part of some higher standard.

I was the only one who said something against the CRFH board, I think - so I hope you don't take it out on others when I'm the one to "blame".
Yes, I know the CRFH board is not entirely composed of nonsense, but the nonsense and OT quota is too high for my liking, with nonsense wars and RPGing wars and whatever.
I'm sure that some people like it that way, but I'm not one of them. It's just a personal preference thingy. "Time to break the will of the board with a nonsense contest" Bah! The board has enough problems already.
(another problem may be that even the fanfics and fanart - elements I actually *like* - are somehow too many and make the on-topic commentary threads difficult to find out... Perhaps the distinction [FANART] or [FANFIC] should be in the beginning of the thread title so they are more organized)
In short I guess it's just I'm more toward the "Lawful Good" orientation and the CRFH board is too much "Chaotic Neutral"...

Most fanart and fanfic is specified by tags in the thread title.

I don't think that it would be fair to say that 'we' all are down on the CRFH board, Strange. Disliking war/party threads is hardly the same thing as disliking the CRFH board. It's just a culture clash of sorts.
Some people prefer the tone of this board to the CRFH board. Some people prefer the CRFH board to this one. Some people like both. A few of us (Well, me at least) who prefer this board would like those wonderful, fun, wacky elements of the CRFH board to stay... well.. on the CRFH board. And I don't think that's meant to be insulting or superior in any fashion. Both boards have their own cultures which are valuable in their own right.
In summation:
Fans board=Good!
CRFH board=Good!
War/Party Threads on Fans board=Bad! (In Wish's opinion)
That is all.
