Hmmm, well, it seems a more capable system - one I've seen in use for other boards. I like the dark/light differentiation of alternate posts. The layout is a little unsettling at first, but I'm sure that's just because its different.

There are more board-supported smilies, which we will no doubt see exercised soon enough  see, I told you so

On thing I would like is for the text of the thread you are replying to to be put up in a window below the one that you use to compose your reply in. Zut alors! Its there, or at least a button labelled "Topic Review" which does what I want. Champion!

It seems to be responding pretty quickly right now, but the real test will be Monday when we see how well it performs under stress.

Regards,
Muttley

Bad: the ICQ status. Inline images with URLs like "http://online.mirabilis.com/scripts/onl ... ####&img=5" are going to slow down page loading if online.mirabilis.com is unresponsive.

Hmm, this may take some getting used to. I'll wait and see how it works out...

Think they'll switch over the Keenspot boards too?

It was a dark time for the Faans! boardies. Having just successfully made their second message board transition, many were caught up in the dark and brooding atmosphere of their new home. Several weren't even sure it was still home anymore. Others seemed to thrive in this more plutonian environment. The rest were ready to stick it out, and just prayed that our whimsical master T didn't get a hankering for rainbows and fuzzy bunnies...

Looks too much like the other forums I'm on... I liked the archaic, out-dated look of the other ones... It was quaint.

I'm going through the past posts and a lot of them are coming up empty. You click on the link to it and wind up seeing a blank screen. Can something be done about this?

And you can't delete messages you want deleted. At least, I don't see how.

Well, I have to say that right now I am not sympathetic to the white-text-on-dark-background appearance. This is primitive: can we have black text on a light background? Doesn't have to be white; any colours which can stand black text over them will be fine  And if we have to have a black background, can we have stars on it, please?

Muttley

Doesn't work like it did in the old forum. Yes, you can take the content totally out of the post, but you can't remove the post.

These are all options -- got to the general forum and find the thread soliciting suggestions.

The colors remind me of Highway Patrol cars here. Keep expecting to be pulled over for doing only 33.6 in 50 minimum zone.

FP, I can't see these blank messages. Are they still giving you problems? If so, could you give a sample URL?

Here are some samples:

viewtopic.php?topic=18984&forum=162&1

It might just be my browser, but I'm going to try these with other broswers and see what happens.
