I'm kind of confused about what Rumy means and what Rikk's talking about. I can probably sort it out in 5 minutes but I'd rather get the first post in.
I can't wait to see what the guy in the back of panel 5's story is. He looks like an extra from EVERY story so far.
One last thing, Rumy's shirt in the first frame. Is that a dino skeleton? I just can't tell what kind. I'd say raptor but it looks like it has a wing.
------------------

1) I think he's just talking about how much more confident he's gotten over the past year (hell, over the summer). Those genes winning out and all. Rumi's done likewaise; she wasn't very social at the beginning either...
2) My first thought was that he looks like one of those brain-washed geeks who shot up the Clara Strudenberry meeting way back at the beginning, but he actually looks a bit thin for that. Second thought is that the outfit looks sorta Hogwart-ish, which could work (book junkie?), though it could be from any prep school... Third posibility is that he's some random guy drooling over Jackie and has nothing to do with the story whatsoever.
3) That looks like an Archaeopteryx (almost certain I spelled that wrong) fossil. I've seen one in that very position in more than a few science books; I'm guessing it's the first one of its kind discovered or something. Maybe Rumi visited a museum sometime over summer and got a souvenir?
4) When did Fans get a code?

Oh, I just noticed this, but it looks like Rumy's face is stuck in that position. Maybe Jason just felt a little lazy that day.

Did Rikk in that last panel remind anyone else of Guybrush Threepwood?
*Penny

Well, it's a difference from her expression in that last story - not as closed.
And yet, I can't be certain that it is even more closed, in a sense. That she's just gotten better at putting up a front with Rikk. Maybe his words don't hurt her as much as they would have earlier, but I still feel they were still rather cold.
I might be able to excuse the fact that he's oblivious to how she felt (still feels?) about him. The image on Rumy's shirt is DRACOPALEONTOLOGY, an award-winning science fiction image of a dragon fossil.
And this week should lay any lingering questions about Rumy and Rikk's feelings toward each other to rest.

DOUBLE REVELATION (from the re-read)...
1) the Potteresque dude is one of the Italian boys who revived Passus Chronus.
2) Rumy is seeing in Rikk herself when she loved Big Red. Which also means that while she misses Big Red, the hurt is too far in the past now.

And BTW, no poking, but you are obliged to look up the "What Does the FiB Have On You?" thread and fill out your personal data dossier...if you so desire. <A HREF="

I get it now! How cool!
Oooooooooooh, more tension and guessing. Rikk and Rumy revelations huh? What better time to do it then when Alisin is out clubbing for the week?
Hmmmmmmm..........Oh OK, I had to read that last sentence several times. I thought that you proposed to reveal any feelings between Rikk and Rumy to the others to the rest.
That would've been weird......
------------------
