If you haven't been keeping up with CRFH since the crossover, you might be interested to know that it seems April has completely given up on Will. For the past several strips, she's been fawning over Mike, and it looks like the shit has just hit the fan.

Oh, hush. That's not April, that's her evil clone, Anti-April, created by Melotian technology to express April's nymphomaniac side and doomed to be killed as the real April snaps and murders her leading to two months of flashback by *Margaret* and Will ending up with a new girlfriend on the rebound who he'll nonetheless decide to stick with when push comes to shove and he's faced with the choice.
Phew...
Seriously now, that's not how April behaves. There's clearly a plot going on from April and Marsha's side...
[This message has been edited by Aris Katsaris (edited 09-10-2001).]

Well, it's clear that SOMETHING's going on, anyway.
I have to admire how seamlessly Maritza let the crossover lead into this next storyline...

It just came out of left field.

Of course it isn't the real April - look at the hair! -I- think it's Kath, yeah... Kath... stealing Will's costume secrets and trying to seduce Mike in a way he'dleast suspect!
Either that, or that's a man, baby, yeah! Groovy!
Das Catnik!

Well, I haven't been watch CRFH, but to me it's obvious what's happening:
Shanna is using the mind control squid in an effort to alienate April and Will. That will leave the way clear for her to scratch her itch by dating Will. The changed hair-style is to hide the mind control squid.
Nodrog "I'm not mad. Crazy, yes. But I'm not mad" Skrap
[This message has been edited by Nodrog (edited 09-10-2001).]

Not sure what to say. I'm a big fan of leaving the possiblity of Will and April as a couple open. Maritza is going somewhere with this, and is likely going to explore the depth of April's loneliness and the truth of Mike's affection for Marsha with this venue. And these are worth looking at, since the CRFH storyline isn't one where you can easily pick up on unspoken references. (IMHO) However, I hope that when April learns what it really means to love, and is settled in her heart of hearts what she _wants_, that Will will be open and ready, and at least in the running. 8)
Nullset out.

Margret has to stay good. I have no hope for April and after all it would be hard for them to date. The whole thing with them being in different topics kinda sucks. They woulda made a great couple.

Hmmm.
It's one thing to have a crossover, where people are shared for a while-- but to have someone from one comic *dating* someone from another comic, well, that would certainly be entertaining... Brings up a lot of interesting sub-plot ideas...
--apg
