With all the excitement currently going on in FANS! there has been some speculation about a character making the final exit before this storyline is through. Recently I thought of something: what would happen if Jones died?
The possibility is definitly there-The FiB is coming down, monsters are running around, and plus Jones fouled up, and the FiB doesn't strike me as the kind of organization to forgive failure...
Anyhow, even though Jones is sort of the villian of the piece, I can see his death having bad effects. After all, Jones actually has some sense of morals [at least for an FiB agent], and if something happened to him, another agent could possibly assume his position, an agent with more sinister attitides and ideas. Just a thought...

Actually, if the 23-sider of power does its work properly, FiB will be destroyed, and Jones will be reborn as a 20-something surfer in Malibu or the South Pacific or somewhere and spend a permanent vacation as a result of his wish. Of course, that doesn't mean the government won't replace FiB with something even MORE sinister...that's the way the government works.
