Blazing Saddles was great, but my favorite Mel Brooks movies are still The Producers (I've got to figure out a way to score tickets for the stage version -- oh, and get to New York so I can use 'em) and his remake of To Be Or Not To Be. I liked it better than the original, but I'm not a big Jack Benny fan.

"Springtime for Hitler and Germany, Winter for Poland and France" - only Mel Brooks could get away with it.

Mages!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, I run a Vampire/Hunter Game and Mages are the one genre I will not allow any dealings with. Basically I play paradox and any mages (even TECHNOCRATS) that come into the game are aimmediately gobbled up along with any knowledge of their kind and neat diddlybobs they gave people. Paradox might get hungry for Mummies next if some of my players don't keep quiet.
------------------

There are quite a few changes from the film (the secretary who jiggled when you told her to "go to work" is apparently a decent part now), but "Springtime for Hitler" is still there -- they even dub in Mel Brooks's "Don't be stupid, be a smartie, come and join the Nazi Party!" line from the film during the stage production. The New Yorker was extravagant in its praise, but I want to see it anyway.
------------------
