Oooh, great possible future scene:
Allisin: (To Jones) "Well? I did my best... now where's what I want?"
Jones: "Ah, yes... your cure."
Alisin: "Right now."
Jones: "Of course. -to desk phone- Pinkerton, please send in agent Miller."
Fade to black.
Nodrog "I am a deeply disturbed individual. Individual what, however, I'm not sure." Skrap

Apperently, you don't have to be touching the 23 sider of power, you just have to be on the same page is the 23 sider of power. To reference: Will said he wanted to be Rikk. Well, guess what? Will now HAS To be Rikk. Will has to be the strong one, patching up the team's differences so that they can work together, get the team working AS A TEAM. That has ben Rikk's strength in the past. That's what Will wanted.
And now, Will is getting exactly what he said what he wanted.
He's right. Irony sucks.
Also: Anyone note a little while back where Jones got part of what he wanted? He said he wanted the Faans 'In our service, in chains, in pieces... I want them'. Anyone notice Rumi in chain(s)? http://www.faans.com/d/20010517.html
If what I think is going to happen happens, we'll see the rest of the fan club going to pieces (at least emotionaly)... and at least one of them going to Jone's Service.
Remember, you read it hear first.
Plus, wasn't that an awfully short rain shower?

I have been away for one day and I feel behind! My comp is getting upgraded/gutted so I( don't know how long that will take. That will only be a minor inconvenience to my posting needs though.
Hmmm....I can see Alisin becoming a double agent. They've hurt Will and Tim too much. Kath's been someone's pawn before and that didn't work. Shanna's breaking through their defenses as we post. That leaves Rumy and Rikk. I can't really picture either of them working for the FiB but I can't come up with good solid reasons they'd- wait... Rumy's feelings for Big Red. They did kill his kin after all.
Hmm....how to get Rikk to work for the FiB, other than getting him to come with Alisin. that'd be too simple.

No. Alisin is too obvious as a possible double agent. Kath is more likely to me. Why? Kath was the one most susceptible to the Thack chip, and FiB is ALLOWING her to link with Shanna with it, because they think Kath still has desires for power. We already know the Thack chip works both ways...and FiB knows that because they have Thack for interrogation.
There is no reason for FiB not to use both Alisin AND Kath, however. Rikk can't keep his eyes on them and an eye on the rescue unless he grows more eyes.

Hmm, interesting theory. In fact, one could say that Shanna has gone to pieces already. So which Fan will be the one to serve FIB? My guess would be Alisin; perhaps they offer her a cure. She might become a double agent.
--Tuscahoma

But she doesn't want a cure. The reason that Alisin didn't let Muller turn her into a vampire was because she didn't want to live forever.

Ah yes, but finding a cure is a bit different from living forever as a vampire.

I suppose there can be reasons for many of them to turn traitor.
I can see Kath being their pawn if perhaps they use the trump card of her long lost kiddies. Never underestimate the power of a mother

(Sighs) I'm sorry guys... but you're missing something. The Obvious...
Jones' foundish wish at that moment WASN'T to break the fans.
IT WAS THAT THERE WAS NO NEED FOR THE FiB.
The rest was resignation. "That's impossible. So I want those Fans."
But our foundest wish is often what we think impossible. Shannie's wish wasn't merely to lose control-- it was that she could have her imagination, AND not follow her Mother. And it looks like she has, even if she's still justifying.
Why do you think Jones was AFRAID of the 23 sider?
Because he can't see any other way to do things. His foundest wish is, in his mind, impossible. If it IS granted, the only possiblity in his mind is clamity.
And like Shannie-- he's afraid of what he wants.
[This message has been edited by Delerious (edited 05-22-2001).]

Just a silly idea, from a first time poster...
As I read Rikk, he'd serve FIB in that "self-sacrificing-holier-than-thou" schtick of his if they offered him a cure for Alisin... She'd not go for it, but Rikk? Darn tootin! Just MHO...
Kris

Welcome aboard Kris!
Or should I say, sir.
That's a very interesting idea there. I hadn't even thought what others would do if offered a cure to Alisin's disease. Wow.
