Now I understand ... he joined a monastery in Texas, right near where Rikk was practicing (there's his mystic tumbleweed!)... outside Billsburg ... um ...
And duder, look at his reaction to the 23-sdr o' power!<P>But is he the chosen one? The one who closes the door to all the bizzarity? Neo? Or some random perversion Campbell tossed at us for no reason?

Perhaps FIB will win after all, if only they could get find someone who actually wants FIB to succeed. After all, Agent Jones has already used up his one want. I can this now, as they try to brainwash agents to have a specific want and testing it out.<P>"Damn, that one didn't work either."
"Uh, sir, what should we do with Agent Smith?"
"Agent, doctor? I don't see an Agent; all I see is a purple, fire-breathing wiener dog. Lock it up with the rest of the monsters. Next!"<P>--Tuscahoma

I'm SURE someone mentioned it!<P>He probably used a cult ritual to bring the Fans to Nuevo Billbergo so that they would be closer to the cults HQ, Texas is where he was passing through on his way to meet them (Guth can't afford a PT Cruiser because he tithes so much).<P>Guth is NOT Neo! Though I think the Matrix woulda been TONS better if he'd played Neo.
Hmmmm....<P>Top Tens Fans Characters I'd Rather Have Seen Play Neo in the Matrix.
10 Agent Jones (Agent vs Agent is worth SOME irony points)
9 Thack ("Oh, I've been trying to figure that out for a loooong time. Thank you for handing me the world......")
8 Will (all they'd have to do is get ONE female agent....)
7 Rikk (Because h has to be SOMEWHERE on this list. Only after Will because we'd EXPECT Will to whoop ass and it wouldn't be a struggle.)
6 Miller (how paranoid would he be THEN?)
5 Alisin (She could bring her own wardrobe)
4 Big Red (Just for "I know Kung Fu" in pictograms)
3 Tim (I wonder what programming HE'D change. He walks into the loading area and says "Comics.")
2 Rumi (think of the panty shots!)
1 Guth (Because he's Guth)<P>
Whatever guth is he's not random. T had this guy plannedfrom the first draft he had Jason draw! Just go check on the script MSTing buried in T's links.<P>Oh, I forgot to bring it up sooner but it looks like Jones doesn't have the 23-sider right now. It looks like he's got a pie with all it's pieces from Trivial Pursuit probably Conspiracies and Secrets edition.<P>"Who killed was responsible for Kennedy's death."
"Oswald, he was a lone gunman and all evidence proving otherwise is fake."
"Right answer! You get the piece of the pie for Orange, the Public Response category."<P>------------------

Guth strikes me as the sort who keeps everthing neat and orderly, and plans everything out ahead of time. Hardly the sort of person who would worship the epitome of randomness.<P>------------------
