Your editor now speaks with the deep rumbling voice of authority.(TM)
Will is an undergraduate majoring in theater.
Katherine has graduated and has a steady job which brings in enough income that she can afford a PT cruiser. I won't tell you what that job is, but i will say this much: it figures.
There will be more anime lists upcoming.
Rikk took action way back in the beginning, knocking an assassin's gun aside to save Clara Strudenberry. There have been several other instances since, but why deprive our loyal readers of the fun of spotting the rest (I don't feel guilty about pointing out the first one because it was too damn easy)?
Also, people have left several important names off Shanna's list of potential main squeezes:
Sully -- dangerous, has that dominant element, not as flighty as Alisin, looks great 3/4 naked.
Akane -- also a mundane, but has the exotic flavor of the east. Cold beauty. Who knows what went on in that car...
Pinkerton -- easily victimized. Boyish. Perhaps Shanna has a hidden domme streak in her...
Clara -- star power. Martial arts ability.
Arlen -- ditto.
The Crossword Puzzle Man -- Tattoos are just sexy. Besides, they have the newspaper thing in common.
Okay, maybe "important" overstates the case...
Greg, man of phenominal cosmic power and itty bitty salary
------------------

Rikk's been plenty active. One thing to recall is that leadership IS an important role on any team; rallying the troops might look like so much shouting and pointing, but few people have the natural vision and charisma to pull it off (see Kathryn's faile attempts at being a leader).
As Greg already mentioned, he fought against Thack's assassins, and even got himself shot. He actively fought Miller and Skully throughout TMDG, starting with his misguided effort here: http://faans.com/d/20000630.html .. If the situation was as he'd expected it to be, it would have been brilliant.
Also, who could forget his having the guts to try the old "use your faith to drive back the vampire" not just once, but twice: http://faans.com/d/20000908.html and http://faans.com/d/20000927.html
Also, his decision to marry Alisin was a difficult one that required real courage. I'm not saying that Rikk is the perfect man, but in many ways I admire him (as much as it's possible to admire a fictitious character). Sorry Wish.

AGGGGHHHHH!!!!! No! I do not want to see Shanna trying on Alisin's wardrobe! It was bad enough with her mother!
And the second part.
Who DOESN'T have the hots for Harlan?
I still say it's one of the six. Though I do have a new theory.
The way the doc held his pinky up in the last frame struck me as odd. I don't know why but it prompted me to think of the doc and the nurse as Rikk and Alisin in costume. Having already rescued Shanna (the FiB had a machine scan her thoughts and they then released her) decided to test to see what the FiB had done to her. Will suggested it because as much as he had flipped with the acid incident* he is still wary. The reason Alisin hasn't said anything is that she's wearing a mask and it's taking all of her willpower to not rip off the costume/laugh histerically/jump Rikks bones.
*What in blazes was behind that black panel! Maybe we should kidnap Thor and make him tell us!
------------------

Oh yeah, and for the record, I think Shanna's "itch" is for Will. As Wish already pointed in another thread, there already were some hints that this is possible (from way back in The Fandom Menace). I hadn't thought of it before (possibly because Will was already involved with Kat at that time), but she did make very good sense...

I think this is something Shanna is doing to fool the 'psychiatrist'. Given that, who's she going to say?
Kath: Yes, both she and Shanna are female, but so what? Shanna's known Kath the longest, and we know that Kath isn't afraid of dressing like a man.
Rikk: Brainy and shy. In that regard, much like Shanna herself. However, he's got something Shanna lacks. Call it drive, call it stupidity... it's a vital motivator that Shanna either lacks in herself or denies.
Tim: Two words: Opposites attract.
Will: Tall and muscular. Also, a true gentleman; no matter how provolked, he's vowed never to hit a woman. Plus, his relationship with Kath may have been the cause of Shanna not telling Will her true fealings.
Alisin: See entries on Kath and Shanna.
Rumy: Might bring out Shanna's motherly side. On the other hand, may just appeal to Shanna as Rumy being a protector.
Guth: How much do we know about Guth, realy? He's a man of mystery, and many women are drawn to mysterious men.
Hyperman and/or Lance: Not going there.
Thack: If she says this, she's DEFINATELY messing with the psychiatrist's mind.
Miller: Tall, dark, handsome (if you ignore the scars).
Did I miss anyone? Who do you think Shanna will say, and why?
Nodrog "Resisted the urge to add the letter 'B' to the subject" Skrap
I think Will was the one. Tim infuriated her, but Will actually got her to open up a bit. I think he got to her.
--Tuscahoma

Well, I doubt it's Agent Jones (unless she REALY wants to mess with the shrink's head), but it it is Agent Jones, here's why:
Shanna is attracted to older men. Ever since her father left her, she has been subconciously looking for a male figure she can turn to for the stabibility and structure that her father had provided. This in part explains why Shanna is unwilling to use her imagination for fun... she needs to have someone she can trust in control before she can have fun.
Agent Jones, for all his percieved faults, is not afraid to shoulder responsibility, and once he does see a problem with whatever he's protecting (example: FiB and Hyperman) he acts to eliminate that problem. Also, he is obviously highly inteligent with well developed intuition. Look how fast he deduced the source of FIB's discouragement and the fact that Miller and Sully must be planning to defect.
Also, of all the male charachters, he's the one with the most obviously secure job. (I meen, does anyone here have any idea what Kath and Will do to make money? Anybody?)
Nodrog "I'm so crazy, it's driving me sane" Skrap.

OK, I'm against Jones first and foremost.
He's not "one of them" and I don't think Shanna has ever actually seen him. I think it is one of the six pictured.
I'm thinking Will. He's the big handsome guy who's had the most success with relationships from Shanna's point of view. Rikk is too much of a kid to her and Tim is...well... Tim. I think Shanna is to much of a square deep down to live THAT freely. Sure, she's a fan, but she'll never be as INTO it as the others. Another thing in Will's favor is that he's been allowed to TOUCH her (he did her hair for the convention). Aside from the whole bonding thing in TFM, in the crossover (Which I LOVE mentioning) Will begins to get under her skin a little more. Tim or Will is going off on a conspiracy theory and mentions the X Files (equivilant) and whistles the theme to the Twilight Zone (equivilant). Shanna takes the time to correct him on it and Will slyly turns to her and asks how SHE knows the difference. Shanna clams up and walks away with eyes all a-narrow. She's so coy.
Hmmmmm....that reminds me. On the Top 10 WORST Anime, Shanna was included. She mentioned Ranma 1/2. Now, the stuttering mispronunciation of the name seemed appropriate but the reason she'd seen it at all seemed odd to me at the time. Now that she's been revealed as a closet fan I think it may be time to review it.
I love the way Alisin is portrayed there. She looks like a silly monkey. "Ooooooh! Fire!" Also, Rumi and Kath look like the frame was cut out of Tiger Beat. Poor Will, after that frame I think I'll join Wish's Anti-Rikk club for at least a little while. Here we see Rikk as the wise administrator and not actually doing any action. Where as Will is valiantly holding up the crushing weight of the frame. Sure, Rikks is supposed to be the mental strength but still. Shanna's mind seems to have no respect for Rikk as a taker of action. Hmmm.... anyone care to cite times where Rikk himself has taken an action other than sending in the troops or talking?
