Howdy, all. My random theory of the day. A while back, we had the scene where someone who appears to be the General was holding the gun to Shanna's mother's head: http://www.faans.com/d/20020313.html. Looking on the floor, one can see one of the squid devices which Pinkerton used in Mad Science on everyone. Where did said device come from?

Well, I was rereading some stuff, and found:
http://www.faans.com/d/20010902.html. In which we see Shanna has put such a device on Pinkerton and HAS ANOTHER ONE.

I am inclined to suspect that Shanna may well have put this other one on her mother (Although I would expect that the staff of a psychiatric hospital would notice such a thing, apparently Shanna was able to walk into the Billberg Hospital Detoxification Ward and put mind control devices on Pinkerton's head without anyone stopping her, so....)

We did all sorts of theorizing about the device before:

Notice it? Heck, buddy! She came to the hangar and had me tweak up the baud rate on the framistat <i>and</i> overhaul the And/Or/Maybe Gates so it can handle a Solid-State user interface she got on special at Beastly Buy.

And WHY did she have you do all that work? Do the other fans know about it? Why would she have you upgrade it unless she were to use it on...some..one? *gulp* Would she use it on her new itch? What is her motive?

Too bad. I had hoped good ole Pikerton had returned. He wasn't really evil, just misunderstood... with a mind destroyed by his own amnesia pills and Alisin's drugs...

Why do I always feel sorry for the FIB agents?

In the fanfic writing flesh, yep! I read lots of on-line comics when not trying to beat Jeff and Rod to death for writing slow.

I've been reading Fans for about a year now, maybe a little longer.

Maybe we can finally have a fanfic going in this forum that doesn't sorta suck. I suppose that is something we can look forward to.

I enjoy Ted Anderson's stuff. And your work, FP. I haven't been able to keep up with the "round robins," much to my regret... but I sure would like to see John's take!

Oh wow, T! Thanks for the ego stroke.

If you want to talk about an immersion story of a different kind, go to my story website that is the clickable WWW link on any of my posts. I should warn you that it all is NC-17 material (although when I started I joked that I had as much business writing porn as Salman Rushdie had researching Iranian travelogues). It's very tame, perhaps too tame for the Tim Mitts sort.

You'll find a smidgen of skiffy there too...but not in the way you may expect to see it.
