And the professor wants to go along?

Wonder if he's also a traveler in time.

Worst thought - one more before the weekend. I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!

maybe the professor is the one who eventually INVENTS the time traveling stuff... and right now had at least enough knowledge to detect it.

but T!!! Stop!!! You're being evil!! While waiting for the page to load, all I could read was the title 'Just in case YOU weren't confused enough' That was PURE EVIL, man!!!

*screams*

The doctor is here!!!!

Why is the doctor here???
EXACTLY!!!!

*laughs about hi multi-tiered joke*

Seriously though! This could be an Dr. Why sort of guy who is here to stop the General's meddling! I can see the factions polarizing now! Kath and Stu with the General, Alisin and Meighan with the Doctor, and the rest stuck in the middle getting sucked onto one side or the other!

Forget the other threads! I'm puting my money on the third party Time Lord!

Oh! another point in favor of my Dr. Why theory! The last line of the page. The Doctor-Who?-Precisely joke is one of my few memories of the first show I saw. Great job T, even if I'm wrong you made this theory fun.

Whatever the case, he seems to know about the giant floating intellivorous brain -- witness his response when Meighan gives him a dumbfounded "buh?" reply.

Actually, this had me just about rolling around on the floor laughing.

I write a lot with a friend of mine, and at one point, whenever something surprising came up, the characters would respond with "Buh?"

It therefore became our International Intelligent Comment. I just couldn't help laughing about it.

So this is the prof's first appearance, right?

Very interesting, his comments... I don't know anything about Econ, but the idea of a "Production Possibility Curve" sounds a lot like the lines you get when you graph a light cone. Basically, it limits what a human being can see or experience, because they can never travel faster than the speed of light. Of course, if one could TIME TRAVEL, there wouldn't be any limitation on "What you could accomplish within a single lifetime." And then there's Meighan's comment, "Not worth my future."

If one compares these two images:

I think you'll find a _very_ strong resemblence. Good catch Tom, very nice. I was totally puzzled, think it was Meighan's future self or something. But when someone's going around breaking the laws of time, especially in the history of his favourite planet, can Doctor Why really be far behind?

While I've never seen that show, I must say the theory seems plausible on what I know...
