Gee... now that was a surprise. And I just thought the worker was just afraid of Shanna's mother... I didn't see that coming. Interesting how she refers to her as 'Shanna's mother' though, eh? So now it's Kath... and Stu... against The General... I think.

Was that really the last panel? (I'm too shocked to tell reality anymore...)

And why is there one of those drug things on the floor? Unless the General released Pinkerton... But than why would it be in Cochran's room? Or maybe I have bad eyesight and that's a toy Tentacool...

More importantly...

Why does the General have a *frantic* look on her face?

And...why is there an FIB mind-control unit on the floor along with Shanna's mom's Pokamon toys...?

That page was full of surprises.
The only thing not a surprise was that Stu was a jerk.

I think the General might tell Kath to put on the mind control device, threatening to kill Shanna's mother if she doesn't.

Either way, the General knows what she is doing. Taking out the Fans! number one strategist right away is a good move.

I'm not sure that's actually the General herself... It could well be one of the *espins, couldn't it? She sent Respin to do her dirty work in the AU, so wouldn't it make sense for her to send him or another RWE (Rhymes-With-Espin) in this instance?

If the General is aware of and planning to use the FIB mind control device... Why would she have an FIB device, in particular? She could have gotten it off of Pinkerton I guess, but do we actually think he's here, and not in a coma ward at a normal medical hospital?

(Edit: Forgot to capitalize one of my Generals. No disrespect intended.)

Wow, I'm all messed up by today's comic. I started out like 'oh, lol, Kath's gonna mess with Stu-boy's head,' then all of a sudden BAM!!! the general and 'shanna's mother' (that is wierd that she [doesn't she look a lot like a shemale, I'm really wondering who she is] called her that). Oh well, I knew getting rid of Stu couldn't be simple. Durn li'l bugger'll probably mess around and do something honarable and win Kath's respect. Doggonit. *sigh* maybe the experience'll change him into a palatable person.

I see tall, blond and Spandexed and think of that Outer Limits episode with the soldier from the future...(after all I had seen it very recently and it's fresh in my mind)... I find it odder that he is speaking clear English if he is from that far forward in time. (Shrug.)

Wasn't that one written by our own Mr. Staranka?

Well, it would be doubleplus ungood (translation: "whack") if we couldn't communicate, wouldn't it? Not horrorshow (translation: "phat") at all.

If she really is Kath's daughter, it all makes sense, doesn't it? Why she knew Kath would be showing up there, and why she knew Shanna (or at least her mum)...

Well, to dash off a quick thought on the sly at work. . . If you know you're going into the past you'd study up on the lingo, yes?

Er... why in god's name would Kath tell one of her estranged children about this one time she tested a redneck yokel by taking him to an asylum?

Hmmm.... she might not but I'll bet that Tim the Fanboy would! Of course, I can see this happening when he was the senior member of the club and overseeing activities when Kath's kid (the General) was just a pre-Frosh.

Taking Stu to the asylum was a major part of Kath deciding to help boot Stu from the club.

Aside from Jackie, the person who most wants Stu gone is Guth.

We already know that The General knows Guth.

QED.

Hmmm, I don't know if the General actually knows Guth or not. She knows that those aliens were discovered by Guth, but as to whether she actually knows him personally is a different matter.

My take on things? I think if the General is related to any of the main cast, it's more than likely the offspring of one of them (Rikk and Alisin's daughter? Scary thought...^_^), or related to them by a few generations. It seems as though she's from the distant future, and carrying a definite mad-on for the fans in any dimension.

So why does she want to eliminate the fans in all dimensions? That's what I want to know.

What if the General is just a really good student of history, especially the histories she wants to change?

That way the General doesn't have to be related to anyone.

Meh...I doubt that she's TOTALLY unrelated to any of the Fans!. She looks way too much like a female version of Will to me...

And also, am I the only person who sees some similarity between the pronunciations of "Erixon" and "Espin"...?

Personally, my money's on the General being the offspring of Shanna and Will...I seriously doubt that there's any of Rumy's DNA in her, unless the alternate Rum' is VERY different from the one we all know and love...

It that were to turn out true, I wonder whether Shanna would put the damper on her... rather forceful attempts to get Will or not...
Hmm... Only Shanna would ignore such a warning...

It seems to me that the phrasing of "He could have named them 'Carrollers,' but Carroll was always flawed with modesty" implies a personal knowledge of the adult Guth.

Ain't neccerily so. I've had professors that spoke of important figures that they'd studied thouroughly that way. "Plato was ever a one to point out a mistake" or some such phrase, for example (not a direct quote, lol). Now that my Alisin theory grows weaker, I'm still wide open about the general.

I see this thread has brought no explanation to the appearance of Pinkerton's head-controller thing in Shanna's mom's room. Of course, it could be assumed that Shanna brought it to make her mom happy, but how would she keep it secret? Why would the staff let her bring it in? Why have none of them noticed it sitting right there?

It'll be cool if Pikerton has made a return... I thought this was where Shanna took him originally, but I might be wrong...
