Not MORE competition. Havn't I told all you hussies that Will is mine? Hey you! Yeah, you, with the broad Cockney accent and the Pipi braids.. SHOVE OFF! Go eat a steak and kidney pie or something. And the rest of you, mind yer business! No touchie, girls.. That's why all these relationships never take. He's just being saved for the right girl. No, not Shanna... ME.
And yes, I want to know who the 'middle girl' is as well. Now. So I may elimiate her. Rar!
All kidding aside.. Hurrah for a Will bit! Hurrah! It's interesting. His view of God appears to display a perverse kind of optimism. The idea that no rational being capable of abstract thought is truely evil and cruel enough to inflict this 'punishment' on him seems strangely chipper to me. It's possible that I only think so because I'm odd.
I got a good giggle out of Leviticus: The Musical. He's playing Aaron, right?
-Wish
"JIHAD!" "That's the cat, Grandpa."

Just to save people some search effort: Miss Cockney is not the same person as the involuntary flasher. Different nose shape.

*gets defensive and shelters Cockney-girl from jibes and jokes* WAAAAA!!!! ANTI-BRITS!!! THE MONARCHY OWNZ j00!!!!!
*snicker* That's kinda weird, though, she does look a bit like both Blue and Involuntary Flasher (Involuntary Blue? LOL)
Having not been a CRFH reader when I did the character design, and having not seen the X-over masters (were they even done? LOL), that's weird coincidence. Then again, I was sitting there drawing her while watching bad Dr. Who episodes (Tom Baker as a cactus, Tom Baker as the mindless slave of an Egyptian god, Tom Baker as a legless pirate ... wait, that was Blackadder ...)
Best fishes,

For the benefit of the uninformed, Rumy-chan is the creator of good ol' Freckles (whose name we learn tomorrow... IF we haven't already seen it in the fansart, that is), and she and Maccabee know each other. (Their joint brainstorming session led to the idea for "Leviticus, The Musical...")

LEVITICUS: THE MUSICAL!!
Featuring the smash hit "THOU SHALT NOT"!!
See it now or BURN IN HELL FOREVER!!
Maccabee, impressario of the one true faith
Actually, we were just trying to come up with the worst possible concept for a musical that Andrew Lloyd Webber hadn't already taken. :-

You know my stance ... Second Romana all the way, Maccabee. ^.~
I'm now trying to remember musical ideas we discarded ... "Hindenberg" was one, I think. A lot of them had to be thrown out because they were too plausible. o.O
Even funnier, "Freckles" didn't have freckles when she first jumped out of my pen.... Nor did she have a chest. Way to go, Jason. ^.^ She looks awesome now.
Best fishes,

Ever see Tom Baker as Rasputin in Nicholas & Alexandra? Or as the evil caliph in Golden Voyage of Sinbad? Or as the renegade ex-Interpol agent in Remington Steele?
FP (who watched the Rock & Roll episode this past weekend about Punk Rock and thinks Union Jackie is somehow related to Malcolm McLaren)

I haven't seen those, though I'm told Baker's performance in Sinbad got him the part of the Doctor. I didn't even know about his guest shot on Remmington Steele.
The sixth Bond against the fourth Doctor... no contest. Bye-bye, martini-boy.
Maccabee
------------------

Leviticus...
forgive me for saying I don't speak with the utmost authority but I was under the impression it was one of the most boring if not despised books of the bible.
I should know the answer off the top of my head but joined bible class late in its session. But Levitcus is like.. .well including all of the not liked provisions on sex. I contains lots of worship commands that don't exactly degree follow another. Also its got the "no sleeping with men" rule that's lightly not to get it all the popular with the theatre going milieu

hold on I'm pulling out my NIV with student annotations now
....
okay I'm sliding over the heading of the sections but yeah.. not alot going on but procedure settings. In short the formation of what would/should be the Jewish culture. interesting about the blood thing and child sacrifice and sex stuff too....
But at best this is bound to be more disasterous than whathisface Heston's the Ten Commandments (okay I know I've quit the orginisation effectively for being bi and all but I can barely stand the fact watch the movie as gospel. There are works of modern literature its considerred sacrilege to do that too. To Kill a Mockingbird the movie, Where the Red Fern Grows, War and Peace, Jurassic Park. I mean the book's better believe me. Trust me its cool.)
I mean wouldn't Numbers or better Joshua (watch the Jew's take that land with such miraculous tactics and ease Star Wars critics would be exploded in a fit). Even Judges or Esther (which would leave an excuse for lots of sex and fashionable outfits co-opt it as the next series for WB) would be better. But Leviticus. That's like doing a play on a textbook or about astronomy. Only you have a history proffessor do the voice. And if they keep it in "King James version" ..well its not as bad as Live Action Dragonball Z but there are likely more entertaining PBS telethons ran at midnight

Well, Manticoraus, that was kind of the point. Will's in a bad play based on a bad concept ("The worst idea for a musical that Andrew Lloyd Webber hadn't already taken").
And from what I've heard, Harper Lee liked the film version of To Kill a Mockingbird. The woman who played Scout spoke at my junior high way back when.
Maccabee
"Coming soon from the people who brought you LEVITICUS!... 1040: A Love Story starring William Shatner and Barbara Streisand."

The only way to make LEVITICUS! worse would be to put the whole cast on rollerblades and perform it in the round.
With real livestock.
Trust me ... I know what it takes to make a play suck. (First we find the worst play ever written ...)
Best fishes,

Both Rumichan and I have seen and adored The Producers. PBS aired a "making of the album" documentary on "Great Performances" but because of the ((expletives deleted)) pledge drive it ran over it's allotted timeslot and I didn't get the last ten minutes on tape (you owe me a copy, girl).
The soundtrack CD is commercially available. Lots of wonderful new stuff, though they cut Lorenzo Saint Dubois and "Love Power" from the new version.
"Du liebst mir nicht!"

My dear friend Seanan (coyote pooka to the poor and unknown) has spent the better part of her adult (?) life working on 1984: The Musical. And yes, she is serious. Be afraid.
