They exemplify the impulse that drives us to commit the base, venereal acts, versus the cold ponderings of that which traps us to our selves... refusing to transcend the lot of carnal bindings.
Particularly interesting is the anthropomorphic overtones. This embraces the soul of the animal within us all... a kind of "furry" self, which flies in the face of our pursuit of evolution. A kind of fuzzy logic, if you will.
Regression. They are about regression, into the mind, the soul, and the libido. One: we are sexual beings. Two: we are rational beings. Three: Libido and rationale can be negotiated, even reconciled, into the pysche of Self, for well or ill. QED.
So remember... in reading Cheech and Shrew, you're touching your inner cheesecake.

If anyone takes this seriously, I'll slap you with a wet trout.

Actually, they're just a pair of girls I scribbled into a friend's notebook about 4 years ago. They used to wear ceremonial samurai armour.
But yes, ego, id. The airport represents the superego, of course.
I don't know if ego would be a catgirl though.
Oh, and by the way... Borrowers?
------------------
