Hi David,
I am so, so glad this was just a April Fool's joke!!!! You have no idea how glad I am!! :smile:

I stumbled across this cute little comic while reading many 9/11 Tribute Comics. Out of all the comics I saw, there were only 2 that I started to read regularly. Todd and Penguin was one of them and I fell in love with it right away!!
Sorry I didn't get a chance to e-mail or post here earlier, we were in the middle of moving from an apartment to a house.
Now I get a chance to tell you (and everyone else) how much I love your strip and now that it isn't ending, I will be reading for a very long time!!

P.S. Thanks to you, I can't say I won't fall for a April Fool's joke anymore. IIRC, I didn't last year. Oh, well. :smile:

Oh please. I should have known you'd be so unoriginal as to pull the "comic ending" gag that CDC pulled last year and Joe Nadeau pulled this year. You are a completely unoriginal jackass.

while I might argue the unoriginal part, seeing as I don't read CDC, I would agree that I am a jackass.

Once again, thanks to all the people who posted and wrote to me. I see a lot of new faces popped out of anonynimity. Maybe I should "quit" more often :smile:

Actually, the tradition for "April Fool's Day" is if you try to pull an April Fool's joke outside of sun up to sun's mid-rising (noon) *you* are the fool because you couldn't fool those who know the tradition of April Fool's day..

So, while a good joke, and fooled many, myself included.. since you technically set it up before April Fool's, it's not an April Fool's joke.. However, you can still point fingers and go "Fooled you, and you, and you, and you! HAHAHAHA!" ^_^

There's rules to this?!
Imagine if I had let the joke stretch out over the week as planned, boy the April Fool's police woulda come after me then!

The only way to set it up properly was to let the note to readers sit on the main site all weekend, giving it 3 days exposure rather than one, reaching more people that way.

and oh yeah, GIVE ME THAT COOKIE!

Yeah, there's rules to these things. Of course, I'm the chick who runs a Thingy with a bunny in it and didn't do an Easter Bunny joke. (Teach me for doing comics up to a month in advance and not clue to the dates..)
