Important Notice about Todd and Penguin

Dear readers,
After much thinking over, and internal debate, I have decided to go to a three day per week schedule for Todd and Penguin. Why? Well, the short of it is time. I've been very busy lately, and cannot afford to spend 2 hours plus a day on the comic at the moment. In the past year I have been working on Todd and Penguin, I have also been trying to write a novel, which seems to be getting less and less time devoted to it, as Todd and Penguin begins to gobble more of the time up. As much as I love doing this comic, I also love writing. This book in my head, and partially on paper, is a great story, and if I do not find time for it now, then who knows if I ever will. So, rather than take a hiatus, which is the kiss of death to most comics, I am just cutting down the days. Hopefully this will result in more time for me, and better comics for you, as I will have more time to draw and prepare them, and properly promote my site.(something I have yet to do) I have some big ideas for this comic, and I think by stepping back a bit now, I can step forward in the long run. I will return to a 5 day per week schedule as soon as time permits, or when I get sick of not doing a comic everyday.Ok, that's enough rambling...and as always, thanks for reading.~dave------------------

Yes, hiatus is the kiss of death, I should know. So, keep it up Dave, never give up. Three weeks is better anyway. With all the web comics out there, there's almost no time to read stuff as it is.------------------

Hey, another cartoonist/novelist! Hiya! Yeah, I know what you mean about trying to find time to write. I've written three drafts of my own fantasy novel, and the only way I can get it done is by setting time aside on a daily basis. I am learning to cope with only 3 days of penguin a week but it hasn't been easy. It is taking more cookies than I would have thought! I only have computer access when at work and only work Wed-Fri so Wednesdays are great...2 penguin comics! Thursdays are so very sad and lonely but things perk up again on Friday! Thanks for the laughs.
