YEah, I saw that thing. That is, I stayed up until 2:00AM watching it. I really would have turned it off, but I just really really wanted to see what was number one. Oh well. Bye for now, I gotta go smack my bitch up.

Wow. Dave must watch a different Much Music than me.. ^_^;; Only time they cut away the music videos is early morning, they have the time (changes for the time zones) various city temps along the side and news along the bottom.. The logo *we* get is a semi-transparent one that's about 2 cm by 2cm on a 15" tv down at the bottom right. (Largen for larger tvs, of course)

I generally don't watch MM anyway, I'll watch MMM, which shows "older" videos, a heck of a lot less hip-hop and rap and has less obnoxious commercials. Or, I'll have CMT on the in background.. It's rarely *good* but it's also rarely bad enough to make turn around and change the channel..

Oh, on the 'name change' basis.. Heh. MTV wouldn't able to keep that name in Canada. We lost Ren and Stimpy off MM because it didn't have enough to do with music..

I tuned into MuchMusic during their Dedication show, and not only was there a big graphic wrap around alongthe top, bottom, and sides of the page, there was a GIGANTIC graphic box displaying chat text of the dedications right smack in the middle of the freaking screen!
Right over Shakira's face.

Much(AdoAboutNothing)Music, indeed!

Wow. All I remember from the first broadcast in the U.S. day was *a lot* of Molson Canadian and Labatt's Blue Canadian Patriotism commercials. ("I. Am. Canadian.")
