While I wandered, weak and weary...
borrowing texts from writers old
I came upon a cat names spons
and his menagerie at home.
Jody, Atom and the Lady Kat
a pink wand of power and one magic tome.
Still I wandered, weak and weary
I sat up late, my eyes all bleary
reading through the art of old.
and then the 4th wall she came!
Along came glych - you cannot shame!
to break down that mighty wall.
so next time you are weak and weary eyed
and you find a volume of forgotten lore.
be sure to to blame that darn feline.
that spons only wants some more.

*holds out a nice baggie of homegrown catnip with all buds and no stems*

Catnip? *puuuurr*
I had been considering being a dog for a while.
The thought of barking and drooling however...
disgusts me.
I'd much rather be a Cat. Besides, I have these
horrible recollections of being a .. rat.
*streetch*
Did someone say something about catnip?

shoop boop be doop?
well, now my cat's gone and eaten most of it, but your welcome to the rest.
Sometimes I fear the kids next door run on catnip, they certainly aren't of this world!

My Parents
My Mom and my Dad are not what they seem,
Their dull appearance is part of their scheme,
I know of their plans, I know their techniques,
My parents are outerspace alien freaks.
They landed on Earth in spaceships-humongous,
Posing as grown-ups, they now walk among us.
My Parents deny this, but I know the truth,
They're here to enslave me and spoil my youth.
Early each morning as the sun rises,
Mom and Dad put on their earthling desguises.
I knew right away, their masks weren't legit-
Their faces are lined, the sag, and don't fit.
The Earths gravity makes them sluggish and slow,
They say not to run wherever I go.
They live by the clock, they're slaves to routines.
they work the year round; they're almost machines.
They deny that fried food, and TV have much worth-
THEY CANNOT BE HUMAN! THEY'RE NOT OF THIS EARTH!!!
I cannot escape their alien gaze,
And they're warping my mind with their alien ways.
For sinister plots, this one is a gem-
They're bringing me up to turn me into THEM!!!
-Watterson, Calvin and Hobbs
...it cold explain a thing or two about your neighbors, no?

nyaaah jellies.
heheh I like that poem too; but thats not it. These kids are really quite horrible. No one on the street wants to talk to their parents about their horrible behavior either because the parents just yell at the neighbors.
This is why I will be very grateful when school starts for them in 2 weeks. The I won't have to listen to slimshady albums being blasted at maximum volume all day long (only in the afternoons). Most of the other kids on the street don'thave much to do with them either they are that horrid.

CURSE YE! I thought the topic title was the first line from Lydia's Beatleguise chant. Curse my foggy memory and gullible sense of nostalgia.
still, neat poem, GreeneyedblackCat.

...and then everyone ate cookies and read "The Adventures of Captain Mooki" and were happy!

thank you mooki,
and just for you the Lydia Beetlegjuice chant ala Edgar Allan Poe:
Knowing that I should be wary
still I venture someplace scary
ghostly haunting I turn loose
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice ...
BEETLEJUICE!
