Kinda surprised that there isn't already a message here about the GH update. Maybe some of us didn't scroll past the greeting card (which is a tad unusual, given its portrayal of humans).

Anyway, I appreciate this one, partly because I don't think I've ever seen any of those three phrases illustrated wordlessly before, odd as that sounds. It's... Wattersonian.

But seriously, Ralph, thanks for that strip.

He forgot pummeling a deceased equine.

He might have thought of that one and decided it was in bad visual taste.

I guess I'm uninspiring, because I don't participate. >.>

But often times I get lost in the rhetoric, and can't stomach the vitriol.

I don't like flame wars. They are nothing more than a text version of an insult argument.

[hugs Kitty] There's one thread that I completely lost the track of. I'm not even sure what you people are arguing about anymore.

When I lose track, I stop reading. :P It's not worth being subjected to acid fuled flames to figure it out.

Worse thing about flame wars is that the arguments tend to be circular. As if the participants, by adding liberal amounts of four letter euphamisms, increasing the volume, and questioning their opponent on everything from their intellectual capacity to their heredity, can somehow actually win a debate.

It all boils down to ego and who can get in the last word.

All that is left is that all the shouters are morons, and neither side has any virtue. The initial flamers sinking their own ship first.

Customised for furries?

[...unWARP!!!]

Good evening.

Well, first, I'm just wondering: is the "Another Flame War" strip's punchline allegorical, or does Ben, and by extension, Lily, have a forum like this one? And if he does, what's the subject? :D

Now, speaking about customatisation, wouldn't he need a Larger Than Average Keyboard? He really does have huge fingers there, unless he types with his clawtips.

¡Zacatepóngolas!

Until next time, remember:

Good evening.

Back in the day when I was asked to take typing tests I got my fastest score ever on a somewhat uncomfortably small, quick travel (time between depression and recovery) keyboard. It added 15 wpm to my usual 60 and a contract job at the end of the process if I recall correctly.

No, THIS is a keyboard: http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/optimus/ I hope they have it in two-hand ergonomic style.

Hey any keyboard is better than one of the PDA phones like Blackberry's or Palm Treo's. They are tiny keyboards that are designed to be used by THUMBS!!!

well, I for one intend to not participate or at least not add to any flamewars

No speed-typing, but my Treo works okay.

I like the concept of the Optimus keyboard, but I have to wonder just how useful it will be in most environments. The little three-key "Optimus three" runs about US$160.
