Does anyone else see a resemblence to SNL 'Church Lady'?

Around here, it's the Seventh Day Adventists who raise the most fuss about Halloween.

I can just imagine what the goblin posse will do to her if she shows up... :)

Is that supposed to be someone we know? The rear view doesn't look familiar, and I don't have time to look thru the archives.

Call me strange, but I kinda like having this Halloween arc extending well beyond Halloween.

Church Lady? I guess that would do it too. I was getting more of a 'Beltraine' vibe off of her though. You know... overly zealous pagan (or was that wiccan?) lady from way back in the 'Under the Lemon Tree' days? Though either characters would shake things up, I'm sure.

Looks like a fox or a rat.

Beltane wouldn't have too much trouble with a secular celebration of Samhain. I suspect this is a new one - a self-righteous give-Christians-a-bad-name type.

Actually, Beltane was the first character I thought of, too. It doesn't seem all that likely, but there's definitely something about this character that is at least reminiscent of her.

Maybe it's the general attitude - sort of an unthinkably irritating, self-satisfied tyrrany, maybe?

Yep, "Church Lady" was the first thought to come to my mind as well.
One of many reasons why I stopped watching SNL.

That's not Beltane. She doesn't wear glasses. (At least I think those are glasses perched up there). Likely though cut from similar cloth--a member of the Society of the Chronically Offended. The types of people that ruin everyone else's fun. Wet blankets, killjoys, call them what you will. They fly various flags but their creed is the same--"If I can't enjoy it, NOBODY CAN."

Yup...I'm with ya on that......any bets this ol' bat will ultimately try to get the entire arcade closed down because of it's name? Or try and force Ben & Lily to change the name?

She could be some serious fresh meat for the posse.. And further more....if she started screaming about "flying demons" or "servents of Satan", she could just be ripe fodder for the nut-house.

And personally.....I would SOOOOO encourage the posse to indulge themselves.

...Is she a duck? She looks like a bird to me.

The Boys certainly will have fun cooking her "Goose".

And of course, here comes the "Holyer then thou art" pain in the ass type of a bully. I hate it when someone says I'm not Christian enough if I don't go as far as they do.

I say, I'm atleast honest before my God and not putting on for apperances.

There's a line between obeying God, and bullying people into your way of following God.

This is also one of my reasons of keeping the faith of my Lord, while not being quiet as blind faith with the church.

That's my thought... They glasses on a chain, the pointed nose up in the air, seems to me to give that impression. Probably someone like the one of whom Ben said, some years ago when he was in durance vile to the department store, "Some people just need to get a grip." (I think that individual was freaking out about the AD&D sets in the store.)

Actually, the individual was freaking out about the "Lucky Charms" cereals, because of the "magically delicious" label. "Cereal of Satan!" and all that.

Prototagonist

is pride one of the seven deadly sins? I think it should be, I think pride is the source of most of those "holier/more powerfull/better then you" types
