"I am not offended....take heart on that. Nay, I just....well, pretty was not my first desired impression. On my movement however, you should have spied me earlier. I was quite impressed with it. I even was able to practice shooting a bit," Deac says.
"We are looking to find a spellbook for John. What are you two doing?," he then asked.

In his search, Deac comes across an old, dusty tome. It has no title printed on the cover or spine, but something tells him to open it. It is a journal, but written in a language that he cannot understand. One thing that does catch his eye, however, is the a diagram of a figure with a wooden stake through it's heart.
Will decides to leave the scholars in the hands of the more than capible librarians as he makes his own preperations.
He excuses himself quietly while they are Ooohing ahd Ahhing over the dusty volume.
He goes to his home and starts pulling out chests of his own, much to the curiosity of his boys, and the consternation of his wife.. As he makes his preperations, he has a quiet converstation with his wife.
"I wish you didn't have to go... " she says..
Will starts to pull a set of armor out that is rather different than what has been seen in the village so far.
"You know I must.. " Will responds..
The armor looks like the forest floor, in various shades of greens. It appears to be made from the hide of some sort of lizard. A Big lizard.
Will's wife looks at the armor, and then at Will with here eyes wide..
"But the Gr'Nak has not been worn since...." she says..
"There is need" he responds, then frowns at the armor. Each inch of the armor is carefully inspected, cleaned and oiled.

Deac, whose skills are not deep enough to read 'Ancient Kelvanic,' gives a slight cough and then lifts his visor to look around. His chooses an eisle at random and walk down it, softly running his hands along the spines of the books, mummuring the titles to himself as he tries to find something useful. Every so often he will stop, draw out a book flip through it, smile, and carefully replace the book and move on.

The section of the book that John and Vlad are looking at describes the ritual needed to stake and, ultimately destroy, a vampire. One passage catches John's eye as he reads it.
"A Vampire Lord?" Vlad says, "I've never heard of such a thing."In most cases a simple oaken stake is all that ir required. Once stabbed through the heart, the Vampire is imobilied and lays as if dead. However, should the stake be removed, the Vampire will be immediately healed and ready to fight or flee. The only known case of an oaken stake not working was on what I term a Vampire Lord. This creature had been around for hundreds of years and, apparently, became powerful enough to withstand an ordinary stake. Unfortunately, the creature fled and I have not been able to track him down again. I must attempt to find a way around this newfound defense.
Almost as if Vlad's words hade been his que, One of the elders wanders into the library, and asks "How is the search going?"
--- in Will's home ---
After the Gr'Nak has been cleaned and oiled, Will carefully dons the armor.
As he puts on the helm, it becomes apparent that the Gr'Nak was made, not just from just any lizard, but from the hide of a green dragon.
Will ponders.. "I hope Jake wasn't related to this one.. "

Deac had nodded and walked quickly outside, almost right past the official, and started to make for the grand hall when he realized something. He had no earthly clue where Will's home was or, for that matter, how to get there. Upon realizing this, he looked around and pondered what to do this. Deac then spied two very young children playing by the street and procedded to ask them the location of Mastersmith William.
"Pardon me, could you young ones tell me where to find Mastersmith William's home?" Deac asked as kindly and softly as he could. The children just stared at him. Deac asked the same question two more times and got the same blank stares. He eventually just gave up, patted one of them on the head and strod off to find an adult.
Soon enough, he got directions to Will's house and walked there with a determined pace. He reached it, gingerly walked through a nicely groomed lawn, and up to the front door, where he rapped smartly on the door and waited for an answer.
