Been there. Hell, my old D&D group named me "Darth Gene" because I messed with them so much. :D

anyone that can sense magic though should be able to see right through that little ruse.

and any tough and loyal soldier wouldn't care about his commander's attitude or fear. if the general turns tail, well that's just one more for you to kill...

and if it's an undead army, I seriously doubt they'll care about bladder control, most of their own bladders have rotted holes in em anyway.
I still say the doctor did it....

You know, it is cool and all to talk abou much fun D&D is, but I think in all the excitement we are fogetting one thing. Where is this leading? I think Ben is thinking about perhaps having Goblin Hollow sponser some D&D campaigns, which I happen to think would be VERY cool indead. That "hmm" expression kind of reveals what is going on in Ben's head. Anyway just that I would bring that up.

I think that Ben will be introducing Lily to the whole D&D idea. And that will be interesting to watch. (At least it was when I introduced my wife to it. :) )

Ah, you were yanking my chain. No problem, and sorry if I overreacted. It just bugs me when old players pull out stuff like this.

Meh, never tried GURPS.

Hmm... Lilly as a gamer... May turn out well, may not. Should be interesting to see.

There's also the possibility that Ben could get a short D&D campaign going to help keep the kids that are "trapped" there by the storm from getting bored since all the games are out of commission.

And man-oh-man could the posse have some serious fun with a D&D game......much to the extreme consternation of Ben & Lily of course.

Pif is obviously bard material. Oh, wait. . .you're anti-stereotyping. Try a barbarian.

Things the adventurer should never be without:

- Rations or the capacity to readily get food. If this one isn't obvious, consider a different career. . .like sleeping.
- A good general-purpose knife. These are insanely useful. Every adventurer should have one. . .yes, even the wizard.
- Picks, hammers and axes of the non-weapons variety. Hammers and axes are especially versatile. Split a few of each among various party members to guard against loss.
- Medical supplies. Why would you walk into a dangerous situation without them?
