After reading this, I just had to check the first page and find out just what the heck was going on.

:o Yeah. That link pretty much explains it all.
I'm lost. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait. Thanks.

Oh, yes! William Shatner burtchered that song! Even Sci Fi fans say he butchered it. It's on a list as one of the worst recordings ever made.
In case you don't believe him I found a link with the Video. :o

Let's say Butchered was being kind...

I've seen William Shatner act.
I've read one of his "Tek" sci-fi books.
Having extrapolated his singing talent thereby, I have avoided any opportunity to hear him sing as though by so doing I would embrace the ultimate evil...

Which, I believe, is a giant hamster. Or so I'm told.
:o

I don't really think Shatner wears a rug -- he's gone so downright wacky in his later years that I don't think he'd care about wearing it anymore. Plus he's the kinda guy who can afford hair plugs.

Not saying he hasn't gotten hair plugs, but he had a rug for the last three ST movies he was in.

Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

Hmm, I take it by the comments Shatner is to singing what Vorgons are to poetry.
"Come on Sam, it can't be as hard as blowing up a star."
"I tell you, blow up one star and suddenly everyone thinks you can walk on water."
*Beepboop* [connection established]
"Okay. Up next, parting the Red Sea."

I think Nikas might have been thinking of the "Vorlons" from Babylon 5.
