Turkey wings have a lot of meat on them. Turkey drumsticks on the other hand have a lot of tendons that you have to deal with for the same amount of meat.

AAAAaaaaahhhhh........heartburn heaven!!!

I ate 88 wings in one night, my record.

Some while ago me and 3 other idiots laid siege to the local Hooters and over the next 4+ hrs sat around the table shootin' the breeze, and watching the motorcycle races.......and put away some 325 wings between us. I'm still not sure how many I ate, but I know it was more than 75.....Bobby and Moose ate at least 100+ each... :o ...these are some hefty lads.

I was so stuffed that I could barly climb on my motorcycle for the ride home........Oh Lord I was miserable... :x ...but DAMN that was fun.

And we were back the next week-end for more :o There's GOT to be a certain level of masochism that's genetically encoded into wing lovers.....don'tcha think?

You know something really tastes good, when it STILL tastes good after you've eaten too much of it...

Then nothing tastes good because then I feel sick anyway. I can't eat too much or else I feel sick.

Absolutely.....and I again refer to the streak of genetic masochism that has to be in this mix somewhere. 'cause between the teriaki and mesquite bbq.....we weren't stoppin'....it was just TOO good......of course Frank....the extreme maso of the group was having his wings as hot as they could be and still slathered more tabasco on them with each bite!! :o He's from Texas and that should explain a lot.

[...unWARP!!!]

Good evening.

One time the pizza parlor next to our high school had a buffet. I paid my $5 and for the next 2 hours ate slice after slice of DELICIOUS pizza.

I didn't need to eat dinner that night. It felt SO nice, and I haven't felt like that since (not many pizza parlors here that can make pizza that delicious).

And no, I didn't feel sick, but I was rather thirsty for a bit :D

Oddly enough, I didn't get strange dreams either...

J.A.M., let me explain something to ya...

You live in Mexico. From what I hear, if it ain't spicy down there, it ain't on the menu.

My brother went down there for a mission trip once, and he ate the food. Quite a bit spicy from what I hear. :P Also, IIRC, he said they rarely ever get sick because they eat so much spicy stuff. The germs hit their bloodstream and die from the spiciness of a thousand jalepenos. And when he got back, he couldn't stand American food for all the sugar we put in ours...

As such, I find it rather easy to believe that you could eat a lot of spicy pizza and not suffer from it. =P Heck, I should feed my kids spicy stuff from birth. Might do them a bit of good. However, I highly doubt I'd be welcome at any Lutheran potlucks up here on account of my cooking. The little old church ladies would call me Mr. Alka Seltzer for what they'd have to take after one of my dishes. And the irony is I can't stand spicy stuff myself.

I fit my screen name more and more each day...
I'm lost. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait. Thanks.

my brother went on a mission to Oaxaca Mexico, he said that most of the food was actually rather bland and in need of the spices (of course he was a missionary so he could really only afford the cheap stuff anyway) myself, i am getting two differing sources so I'll keep my opinions to myself (at least until Jam tells me that I'm dead wrong which I'm sure I am) (remember the fiasco I went through trying to express myself in spanish?)
I still say the doctor did it....

Good evening.

Actually, I CAN'T STAND hot peppers. SOME spicy food, with just a touch of pepper, but not so much that pepsin is dominant.

Where in Oaxaca did he go, Shyal?

My sister went to England, and her complaint there was that EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE was completely BLAND. Tea, no matter what flavor, tasted like warm water.

Had the same experience in England. Peas cooked to grey pellets, potatoes like wallpaper paste, etc. Going north into Scotland, the food gets pretty good. Not spicey, but not bland, either. GREAT cheese. Don't miss going to a local bakery in the morning when everything's fresh.
The tea becomes almost deadly in Scotland, though. They brew it so strong it looks like American coffee. And NEVER drink coffee in Scotland. It melts spoons.
There's no insanity in my family. *I* have it all!!

You mean coffee so strong that
it is like the bugler's tune that wakes
up soldiers from thier bunks
RIGHT DEAD IN YOUR EARS?

Or so strong it's like "an uppercut from
a championship boxer to your senses" ?

Clue me in.

I was actually very well known for my "Cajun Coffee".

You take one of these 64 cup urns and completely clean it out first. Then load it up with water and coffee grounds as usual and perk.

After it's done, unplug it and let it cool.....since it was winter and out west, I took it and buried it in a snow drift for about 30 min.

After it's cooled completely, take out the old coffee grounds, clean the filter and siphon and re-fill it with fresh grounds but this time add a dash of salt (to cut the bitterness) and some ground chickory.

Now, perk the original coffee thru this load of fresh grounds.

The first time I did this, I had the whole outfit bouncing off the walls on a MAJOR caffiene buzz.......and for the most part, they loved it.

Just to really mess with this new officers (2nd Lt) head, I'd gone into town and found some of those candy chrome spoons.....they're made out of sugar and coated with something that makes them look like metal but they're completely edible.

I was talking with this new Lt and I drew myself a cup, dumped in a little cream and picked this spoon off the table. I started stirring while casually talking to him and after a few seconds lifted the "spoon" out of the coffee ostensibly to put it back on the table....you should have seen the look on his face when he saw the bottom of the spoon had dissolved! :o

I just looked at it, continued stirring with the handle and when that portion dissolved, dropped the remaining piece in the cup and took a sip...

I thought he was going to have a siezure.. :o :o ....his eyes nearly came out of their sockets, his mouth dropped open and he went totally incoherent for about the next 10 seconds.......I just took another sip, commented on how good it was and told him he should grab a cup while there was still some left.

I walked about 10 steps and turned back to look at him.....he was still standing there just staring at the coffee pot.....it kept me chuckling for the rest of the day.

I LIKES m' coffee with character....iff'n it don't reach up outta the cup an' slap ya....it's too weak  .......Oh Shyal Malkes....BTW....it's cast-iron with glass and teflon lining!!
