Well I live in Memphis, where I think people believe camo is an actual color. Accents can be heavy, and a deer head in almost every other home. And I still think alot of people here would have found it kind of funny, I guess it depends on how sensitive you are to that kind of thing.

I'm all for the dingbat getting hers - the monkeys were a great touch.

Freedom of Religion isn't freedom to censor that which you don't like - it's freedom to practice your religion. So there's nothing wrong with a muslim taking time out for prayers, and there should be nothing wrong with Christmas decorations.

Heck, Christmas is so commercialized anyway, its gone from "Christ's Birthday (celebrated)" to "CLEARANCE DAY!".

If it were requesting the right to the same religious respect, that would be one thing. Frizzy is practicing "threat and suppression".

Here's to hoping she gets shaved bald by the last bit.

It could be, perhaps, that his shoes were too tight.
But I think that the most likely reason of all,
May have been that his heart was two sizes too small."

Ah, but it seems that everyone at Bullseye has missed the point of that book as well. (there's another Book they seem to have misplaced, a Good one from what I'm told, but that rant has been hashed elsewhere, I think)

In the end, the Grinch realizes that Christmas is something that can't be bought at a store. He learns that Christmas means something *more*. Beltane can't steal Christmas by herself, no matter how she might try. But by letting her ruin their Christmas Spirit, something that has nothing to do with decorations, toys, and carols (which may be expressions of the spirit, but are not the spirit), Ben and the Gang are cooperating with her agenda.

Nobody can take Christmas away from you. And nobody can take God or Christ from you, not even on public property. These are things you find in your heart, not in your wallet, not on your shirt, not under a tree.

Firemane,
No doubt preaching to the choir

You know, that "Forum" button has been up there for a while, but I didn't notice it until this current story arc.

[...unWARP!!!]

Good evening.

You know, Ben COULD say that the grandchildren are on their way to grandma's house to celebrate the winter solstice....

Hmmm...no bells, angels, candy canes, or Santas in that decoration... I wonder what Beltane is complaining about now...

Who knows.... probably the same thing as the public schools who banned the actual song "To grandmother's house we go" from their "winter holiday celebration."

I crap you not. They actually banned it.

Honestly, people, read a few news sites. Where do you think I GET this stuff?

Out of your ass?
BrainlessToTheMax, also known as NewsMax?
Annthrax Coulter?
Fox (har har) "News?"
Bloggers who simply make shit up? (Like the "Kerry intern sex scandal")
WorldNetDaily, that has less credibility than the Weekly World News, and just hired the Slime Boat Liar For Bush, Jerome Corsi?

Face it Ralph, if any of the above told you the sky was pink polka-dots, you'd swallow their bilge hook, line and sinker.

I found this, coward.

All my friends are really intolerant, a lot of hardshell Baptists among them, I just know if they suspected I was gay that all heck would break loose though they often make comments about me being single and living alone like they know something. I make out I'm like them with all the hating on liberals and stuff but it is wearing me down. Maybe I should move away or something, I dunno.

Archae......just exactly WHAT is your problem? If you dislike RH so much, why do stay? A great deal of what you post is so venomous and hate-filled that I can't imagine why you stay on this forum.

Dude....what's chewing on you?

Because I'm hoping that some consensus can be reached, the best from both Ralph and myself.
Not everything Ralph says is 100% wrong.
Just like not everything I say is 100% right.

I've changed my mind a lot on certain issues, due to input from mostly conservatives.
Gun control is one of those issues.

Because one-sided "You're either with us or against us," ends up with both sides at loggerheads, and nothing gets done.

Cute. ...Ever considered that this might be a completly different Ralph Hayes Jr? My real name is Rolland Therrien, and although it's not a common name here in Quebec, I have seen others with the same name in the phonebook.

I would suggest that calling someone 'coward' and stating that they pulled a news story "out of your ass" may NOT be the best way to arrive at "some consensus".

Even if RH is gay and conflicted....so what?? I've got quite a few gay friends, some of whom are quietly terrified that I know it. Even though they know I'll never betray their confidence, they are so deep in the closet, their fear is that if I, a "straight, white, gun owning, motorcycle riding redneck" figured out they were gay, then who else knows? And BTW, I've been in several fights and one almost shoot-out protecting my friends from a bunch of folks who sadly were also "straight, white, gun-totin', motorcycle ridin' rednecks".

My point is that the level of venom and spite I read from you tells me that you aren't really interested in what RH has to say. If his opinion differs from yours.....out come the claws, fangs and knives. There seems to be no interest in discussion, only violent verbal confrontation. I think you have some serious personal issues to resolve and something is difinetely gnawing on you, and gnawing hard.
We are NOT surrounded.....this is a "target rich" environment!

I call Ralph a "coward" because he bans people from his LJ if they object to his "conservative" writings.
On my LJ, I've never banned anyone, and only had to delete a grand total of ONE post, because it was nothing but obscenities.

If (and I mean IF) Ralph is gay, it shows a total hypocrisy on his part, his constant yelling about gays being "perverts."

You must have missed the word "CONFLICTED" in my post.

I've only known of Sutut being banned, and he was a nutcase to no end. Also, his LJ is his property and he can do what he wishes with it. What if he turned the whole thing to a "NO POST" journal so not a single person could post, would you then be bitching about that? Will you then go to the creators of LJ to protest? I mean, why are you bitching about it?

And I've made it known in several places, I'm at the opposite end of his views in a lot of areas, yet I'm still around and free to post. I've disagreed with him, and when I was really off about what I posted about, he'd show me what mistake I made (Mixing the crusade with the inqusition for one), and thus far, he has shown me the respect I give him. There's a difference between disagreement and rabid oposition. Why should he even allow the latter in what is his personal journal?
Allow me to introduce myself--Corporal "Bo" Kiana, Ex-Army, "Warmongering Psychopath Tool!"

No, I didn't look at the damn link, but I find it hard to swallow this whole.

Honestly. We live in the age of computers. A little cut and paste, a few typed up lines, and you've got "damning evidence" at your fingertips.

I don't care if it's true. This is a blatant example of ignoring the issue and going for the opponent instead (ad hominem attack?). It is a weak, and spiteful technique, and most circles of debate consider it a major fallacy. Attacking the messenger will not improve the bad news, however you wish to believe it.

Archae, I don't know when you suddenly lost your civilized mind, but I suggest you find it quick. Most people on this board, whatever they believe, try to avoid the very tactics you're using.

You might wanna take a hint, bud.
I'm lost. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait. Thanks.

Because it makes it just a one-sided monologue.

As to Sutut, that's between Ralph and him.

I was banned for no damn reason.
Except for being a bit TOO anti-"conservative" thoughts.

That's why unlike Ralph and his "You're a liberal commie terrorist sympathizer," I'm actually giving Ralph the benefit of a doubt.

*IF* (and that's a big if,) it's true, then Ralph is the biggest hypocrite in furrydom.

If not, I will apologize, say I was wrong, etc.
You see, I actually, unlike the president who is going to speak tonight, ADMIT when I make a mistake.

But like so often, I seriously doubt Ralph will even mention this.
He's run away from many refutations of his claims before, just look at what happens when people use REAL science to refute the creationist bullshit Ralph believes in.

You idiot! You're running on emotions! Did it ever once occur to you, in that small brain of yours, that someone did this as a diliberate prank?

He puts his information right up there on the website! There's not enough evidence to say it isn't a hoax. You're going to have to try harder than that to convince me of what you're saying.
I'm lost. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait. Thanks.
