I know this may seem like a dumb question, but bear with me.

Why is Ben's boss putting up with Beltane?

Because he's a spineless weasle in a beaver suit who didn't have the balls to fire her flakey ass on
health code violations alone when she was "cleansing" the break room with a headless chicken.

'Bucky' hired her as his personal secretary. It can mean many things.

If she did that, most of the staff would probably be in Depends.
I was thinking along the lines that he was looking for someone to shill for him and she seems like a good choice. She is also nice eyecandy (albeiet fruity and nutty) which would be a bonus for him, but I haven't a clue after that.

I dunno - she looks pretty scrawny to be eye-candy...kinda like a knobby broomstick with hair.

I dunno, I'm about as spineless as the beaver when it comes to someone that blatently and stupidly religious. Still wouldn't hire 'em if I was a manager.

'Bucky' has the authority and (I think) the autonomy to hire who he wants to. If he did not want Beltain, he would not have hired her. I'm still not ignoring that he knew about her 'beliefs'

Methinks he's taking advantage of the requirement she has to be "skyclad" at certain functions.
