Impromtu munch

Post by Squeaky Bunny »

Shaaruuk and I will be meeting at the Crazy Buffet in Orlando on Monday Jan. 17th for lunch. Anyone who is interested is invited to join us for food, conversation, and a trip to the geek graveyard afterwards.

Crazy Buffet is an asian fusion restaurant which means there is something for everyone, but excels an all you can eat sushi, Mongolian barbecue, tempura, and habachi heaven.

Lunch is about $10 but you won't go away hungry.

Would love to go, but you are a wee bit to far from me. Why don't you head up north a few states?
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

Of course, those of us up a few states could always do a get together on our own. :)

I originally was just going to PM the ones I see from Florida but thought that maybe someone might be visiting the area.

Of course if it works out well we can take it on the road. :D

Quentin would be welcome to come down here and take a swing at the giant mouse-err... Rat that has control of the town.

I managed to catch Barney the last time I was here!

I wouldn't mind meeting up with you, but I'll show up a little bit late, like about 30 days late. :-? I'll be attending Furry Weekend Atlanta on Feb 11-13 (anyone else going?), then making a quick run through the sunshine state before heading back north. A buffet lunch with geekware for dessert sounds tasty.

What'd you use for bait?

I myself might have tried artifical sweetener... the sort that leaves a nasty aftertaste... about 200 pounds would be about right for a Barney of that size.

It may still be possible. For me Orlando is an hour or so away, Shaaruuk lives in town. Others? YMMV

Gummy worms, but I think they gave him a bad case of gas.

I'm opposed to that kind of violence. Howzabout letting him go after he's filled with a hydrogen/oxy mix and a timed road flare?

Oooo-Kay......compromise.....YOU fill 'im with the Hydrogen/Oxy mix an' cut 'im loose.......I'LL switch the belt to all tracers an' give 'im a 200yd running start. Howzat?? We achive the same result and have a little fun in the process.....or would my single-shot bolt-action with said tracers be more sporting?

Go with the single-shot... It's more dramatic. Don't use the good rifle, though. Those tracers can mess up the barrel, and then even after you scrub it out it won't be quite as accurate any more.

I'd love to do a get-together, but I get the impression that there aren't a lot of furs, and even less forum members, out where I live. Honestly, how many people in the furry fandom live anywhere near the Dakotas? =P Dunno if it's true, but there don't seem to be very many.

*sigh* Maybe someday I'll be able to get to a con or have a private get together with some friends. If it's a con, I'll shoot for the Midwest Fur Meet (or whatever it's called) since it's in Chicago and the closest one to me.

If anyone here in these forums lives close to me, go ahead and give me PM. =) Maybe we can set something up, or at least not feel quite so lonely.
I'm lost. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait. Thanks.

Actually, these (7.62x51) tracers I picked up address that very issue. They have some sort of ignition delay in them so that they clear the barrel before lighting. I fired several out of different rifles and they consistantly delayed lighting up until about 50yd down range.

But thanks much for the concern.....you seem to appreciate quality firearms as much as I.

Squeaky and I sorta put this together on the spur of the moment but would welcome any and all who might be in the area and care to join us. The Crazy Buffet has excellent food and if you leave hungry ya gots no-one to blame but yer-self, and Skycraft is the quentessential tinkerer's toystore and geek nirvana. :D
