Excellent Logic on Lilly's part.

I have to say, that feline's got a really good head on her shoulders. She gives excellent reasons for NOT doing what seems to be a sterotypical marital "punishment".

(Off topic: I've FINIALLY reached ENSIGN! Whoo HOO!)

And she's not the only one that's made a pre-marital agreement like that. Glad Razz and me think alike on this one too. XP

Sounds very wise and logical, a good idea. Good for the both of you.

Luckily, my wife and I don't "withhold" anything, either. :D

But I do NOT like the look Michelle (my wife) got in the last panel. I've gotten in more throuble following a look like that. :o

Not really that kind.

It usually involves me building something because she has this "great idea" for something new around the house. I can sometimes get out of it by pointing out that the dog (1 year old, 105 lb german shepherd) will destroy it.

You can dress it up any way you like, but it's still sex as a weapon and a means to keep hubby under "control".

IRL I've seen both versions backfire.....badly.

[...unWARP!!!]

Good evening.

Finally, a couple that decides to enjoy one another!!

Lilly has realised that as a couple, they are now One, hence (as was explained in the previous strip) what affects Ben affects her, too, so if there is no sex for Ben, there is none for her as well.

Looks like this marriage is off to a good start.

Whether in the agreeing to or denying of sex, there is going to be a degree of "control." So which would you prefer--- the intimate, comforting and mutually pleasurable method, or the cold and hateful one?

Anyway, methinks the lady doth protest too much. I suspect she's just as willing to make concessions in the afterglow as he is  but she's gotta maintain that feminine mystique of "power over her man" SOMEhow....

Even though having sex may have had the effect of softening up Ben, it does not necessarily follow that Lily planned it that way. But she'll probably remember that in the future. Whether she wants to or not. Even if she uses it to her advantage, it is, at worst, a lesser evil than withholding sex to get her way would be. And as The JAM points out, it cuts both ways, as Ben may soon discover if he hasn't already.
