He doesn't need to be embalmed. That look would've charcoaled a snowman. Ben's just learned Rule One of married life - when you're right, apologize immediately. At least I hope he's learned it.

Agreed.

Now you see one of the reasons I haven't married yet.
(If I can show I'm right, I do so.)

Run for it Ben, talk about putting your foot in your mouth. Yikes, I would be looking for the nearest cardboard box to hide under if I were him.
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

Males. :P Go fig.

Post by Werekitty »

Yup. That is the infamous LOOK. It works so well on the most hearty of males, because it was originially the Grand High All-Knowing Mom's Look of DOOM!!! that cold reduce the roudiest boy to a pile of blubbering protoplasem.

I hear it's one of the first things that a mother (or serrigate feminine reletive) teaches their daughters when they become engaged. I MIGHT be able to learn it eventually, because I still get it from time to time. Mum won't teach it to me, because I don't really intend to get married. Seems like too much trouble.

ABSOLUTELY......same here......"The Look" just doesn't work on me, AT ALL! 8)

Lily's just torqued 'cause Hubby pulled off a STUPENDOUS deal, didn't have time for a committee meeting and caucus, and thus she didn't have anything to do with it.

Sooner or later she's gonna havta realize that Ben's capable of some VERY good decisions......even if he is a "guy".

Actually, I think that Lily was torqued that Ben was operating in 'me' mode rather than 'we' mode. As in decisions made now impact two (or more) lives. Granted, it was a unique opportunity. If he had stuck to that, he might have gotten off light.
Expecting an apology after what was still, to her, something of a rogue act, was REALLY pushing his luck.

Foot massages, Mr. Bruin. Lots and lots of foot massages.
STAT! :o

"Rogue" act or not, when is it gonna dawn on Lily that thanks to Bens' impulsiveness they now own free and clear a HUGE HOME and property instead of renting a cramped apartment? Plus they're about $10K to the good in the bank! :o And if you think about it, it didn't cost them anything.....plus he unloaded a bunch of collectable video games that would have been usless in the arcade. In fact, he basically swapped a bunch of old vidgames for a local house, property and 10Large in the bank......NOT too shabby wheelin' & dealin' there Mr. B.

And Ol' Benny here should apologize to Lily for this???? :-?

NOT!
