Messin' wit' da kids......

Post by Sharuuk »

Lessee now.....bottle-brush tail, MEGA eyeballs, extended claws...I venture to guess that this is one seriously spooked kitty! :o

Ya think that Gus' "Tales of Lovecraft Manor" memories just came to mind with all the subtlety of a grenade in a box of oarmeal?? 8)

Hee, hee, hee, heeeeeee............go Velvet!!!!

I know it probably was accidental that Velvet let himself be seen, but hoooooeeeeeee.....let the fun begin.

I think messin' with these kids' minds has the potential for some really cool PR. I mean, let 'em tell folks what they've seen......they're kids....in a video arcade....who's gonna really believe 'em? The stories will bring kids like bears to honey. (No offense Ben)

I LOVE this!!!!! 8)

LOL!
I thought it would be something like that, but just a simple "pop" and Velvet would be gone. This is much better. Subtle and sneaky. I've a hunch that young feline will NOT immediately sit down and play that arcade game...

I've a hunch that young feline needs a change of underwear! Ha ha, the expression was PRICELESS! And if you've seen Saturday's strip, the next one ought to be as good.

We're starting to get a feel for the three kids' personalities. Charlie (the dog) seems to be the risk taker, the de facto "leader". Ronnie (the skunk) seems to be the thinker, the more rational one. Gus (the cat) is well...as his friends said "full of it." Not to mention easy comic relief. I hope RH keeps these three around, I'm starting to get used to them!
There is something to be said for competent silence.

As for good ol' Charlie here......does the addage: "Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it!" come to mind? 8)

Or maybe even: "OK, you asked for it!" :o

Hee, hee, heeeeeeeeeeee this is gonna be fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnn!!

I sure don't wanna see their laundry bill.....! :x

Rules

Post by Squirrelly61104 »

These guys had better bring out the big stuff if they wanna get a scare outta me
Rule number 10 on how to survive being in a horror flick: Never say anything like 'it couldn't possibly get any worse', 'it could be worse', or any variant thereof. :o
(rule number one is "Never, EVER, under any circumstances, walk into a room backwards!)
I agree with the others. I like these kids. They're silly. On the other hand, dealing with the skunk is gonna be tricky. Remember, any, uhm, messes he leaves behind will have to be dealt with by the staff. :P

An observation - Velvet blew his cover by "poiting" out, but if he hadn't, could he have passed for a normal child? In other words, could a tulpa pass for a normal fur if they avoid certain behaviors?

Maybe one reason Ben chose the atmosphere for the place was so that the occasional faux pas by one or more of the tulpas would be viewed by outsiders as a "special effect" that simply adds to the atmosphere of the place.

This also goes to my earlier point about how messin' with these kids' heads a little bit could have excellent PR potential.

Personally, I could really dig a "haunted mansion" themed arcade with critters & thingys "poiting" and "vooping" in and out occasionally.

Y'know... There's just one thing.
None of the posse have ever shown an ability to alter their size, and that paw is larger than all of them together. Its shape and color suggest Ben Bruin's hand though.
Something new is happening here, I think.
Either that, or it's a mechanical device right out of "King Kong".

Actually they have, if Ben is feeling an emotion strongly enough a related Tulpa MAY temporarily grow. When Ben was going to that dance with Lily Zoot grow and on one of the days after was mugged Morty was ~15' tall or something.

Not sure if this applies to this situation though.

Hey, you're right! I found the "Big Morty" strip.
How'd I miss that? I read through that part of the archives just now and there were several strips I don't recall seeing before. Hmmm... Aliens seem to have abducted me and wiped all memory of the event again. I hate when that happens.

Comic 10-30-04

Re the comic of 10-30-04:
Never underestimate the power of adolescent male hormones! The force got nothing on them!
Ralph has used solid supporting charecters to good effect in the past. I hope three stooges hang around.
