Seeing that UTLT is about multiple personalities that take the shape ofliving creatures I thought Id post this question to you all and see if anyone is interested

Q:What would be the personalities which stand out the most in you and what creature would they take the shape of? for example I myself

Shyness/timidness/curiosity - a kitten

My rage/jelousy:a hellhound

negetivity/guilt/paranoia:a rat

determination/stubborness; a bulldog

my wildside[tho hardly noticble these days] hyena

Hmmm...

Well, I am a man of simple tastes. I am neither large nor powerful, yet I seem to be thriving. Some have called me witty or cunning, yet I cannot claim the wisdom attributed to the owl, nor the malicious trickery legend gives the coyote. People at work who do not expect to see me seem startled when they do see me occupying the various locations my work requires. For the moment, as a nod to my job's requiring my occasional crawling through the attic at work, I refer to myself as an Attic Rat. My rather crooked teeth fit that description as well.

An interesting question, and I'm sure there'll be a billion responses before this is over. => I bet most who regularly read the comic have thought about it at <i>least</i> once.

Getting down to the wire....

My social side would be a chameleon. I'm notoriously shy IRL and I do the best I can to disappear. >.> Give me a quiet coffeeshop/bookstore any day of the week.

Curiousity--a moth. I like to be drawn to things that tend to leave me a little burnt out afterwards.

Apathy, melancholy, guilt--a bat. I do the hanging-out-in-the-dark thing.

Idealism, friendliness, all that good stuff--a puppy. I'm a huggy person IRL, I need physical contact...I'm a touchy-feely person. ;>
And if I get kicked, I go off and whimper for a little bit--and then plod right back over looking for some more.

Temper and intelligence--a snake. Don't get mad, get even. Also, snakes are cold-blooded: they imitate the environment around them, essentially.

If they were ever to be drawn, most of them would probably be bigger than my avatar. Certainly wilder--I don't have very good control over my emotions. I've sketched them a few times, it's a fun thing to do--and animals are heckuva lot easier to draw than people.

Ooooooooor, perhaps I'll be one of the only people to respond.

That's what I meant. Really. When I said "Billion", I meant two.

Really.

Numbah three!! ^_^

=) Sorry; lame joke.

Anyway, I've thought about this before, but I've never really spent that much time on it. It would be interesting if we all had posses, although I think some people should not be allowed them... Sailor Bubba being the least of them.

Let's see if what I can come up with off the top of my head.

explosive anger (pretty much tame now) - Rottweiler, 'cause those things are scary! We had a couple loose in our neighborhood once, and we were scared into locking the door to keep 'em out. Stupid neighbors.

creativity, muse, artistic streak - Well, at first I thought maybe a ferret like Ben has, but then I thought about how I'll get stuck on an idea and won't let go of it... =P so probably a coon. Besides, I like the Rac Conans. =)

intellectual, analytical side (aka the number cruncher) - I'm thinking mouse for some reason, though I don't know why. *shrugs* Well, life's too short to let animal stereotypes ruin your fun. =P 'Course, maybe a mouse is stereotypical, but either way I'm not gonna worry about it.

work ethic, determination - For some reason, woodpecker comes to mind. And why not? Do you have any idea how long it takes to carve out a nest or find bugs in a tree? It probably takes a lot of work and determination, and not once does the dang bird complain. =P 'Course, he's probably too stupid to, but you know what I mean.

I think that's it for me...

Kind of a small posse at only four members, but I bet they could still take guys like Mr. Unicorn-in-Koala-body with no trouble. =)
I'm lost. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait. Thanks.

Hmm . . . if I had a posse . . .

anger (including righteous anger)/belief that the universe ought to bend to my will/stubborn refusal to stop working on a problem or give up in trouble (i.e. Choleric-ness) = Darth Vader.

ok, ok, just kidding. That should actually be a great big tiger. (I'd say bulldog but I'm not a doggy person.)

wonder/innocence/belief that the universe ought to be good and interesting (i.e. Melancholy-ness) = a little kitten. Maine Coon, if I'm lucky *huggles her handsome cat*

cynicism = snake
hurt/wounded side of me = mouse
^these two tend to go pretty hand-in-hand . . . the snake is always wrapped around the mouse, sometimes protecting it, sometimes squeezing it to death :o

this is pretty off-the-cuff . . .I'm sure I'd change it if I thought about it more, and if I really had a posse it would either be really huge or really small (depending on how detailed you get :D).
*stick foot in mouth* <--- ...it's my signature move. Get it? <crickets chirping> Never mind.

A posse for me would probably look something like this:

Cleverness, idealism=Fox
Knowledge, intelligence=Wolf
Depression=Donkey
Playfulness=Dolphin
Independent, rebellious nature=Horse
Sense of Humor=Hyena
Vulnerability, weakness=Blue Jay
Suspiciousness, cynicism, jadedness=Snake/Serpent
Anger, trickery=Coyote
Assorted weirdness=Kangaroo

Least I'd never be lonely. God, I'm such a neurotic mess...Yay! :D

There is something to be said for competent silence.

Ooh, can I play?

Post by Iris Toadfoot »

(De-lurking just to participate. Hi, my name is Iris.)

I would have to have:
  • A Dog (of the big eyes, floppy ears variety): loyal, loving, trusting - also whiny, mopy, and clingy
An Aardvark: my protective-shell defenses, guilt, cynicism
A Swallow or other high-flying acrobatic bird: idealism, creativity, playfulness
An Owl: intellectualism. I'm not really claiming wisdom, here. Owls just seem to have the glasses built in.

Well, heres my take on it...

German Sheperd: Protective/loyal side.
Chow: Thoughtful side (My family had a really smart Chow named Red, very thinky IMHO)
Gecko: Hyper creative side. Sometimes non-moving, but can take off like a rocket. Hard to catch.

Anyway... classes are calling. Must go now.

Lets see.. if I had a posse... mrrr

intellectual side: Would have to be a crow, or maybe a magpie
I like to be slightly mystical and quiet about my stuff at times but I can be quite a scatterbrain and sometimes when in good company I talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and.. you get the idea no?
Besides.. I have a thing for shiny stuff....

Agressiveness: Would have to be a leopard or some other big and dangerous feline. I am swift to anger and when I anger I am rather deadly ( both with words and in a actual fight... besides... I once clawed and bit my big brother until he bled... He deserved it.. he was sitting on me)

Creativity: Would have to be a lark or a nightinggale.. I am the musical creative person. I can't write anything if I am not listening to music... Music is a esential part of my everyday life... I almost suffered a nervous breakdown when I had to send my personal cd-player to repair.. I couldn't walk around listening to music or a month!

Depression: Um.. a Thylacine... I feel so insignificant and I always feel that the world would not even notice that if I suddenly go... extinct.
I also tend to isolate myself from the rest of the world around me.

Rebelious and free spirit side: A zebra!!! Only equine that has not yet been completely tamed.. and they can be rather nasty fighters too (Remembers episode of national geographics where a zebra actually killed a lion... Equine rules!!!)

Inner child and soft side: Would have to be a tiny little puppy dog.. I am tremedously afectuous towards people I care for. Besides I am rather physical when showing my afection ( hugs, kisses).
I also get easily hurt both by harsh words and actions... Most probably a cocker spaniel puppy!

Hateful side: Porcupine.. definitly porcupine. I lock my feelings up and do my best to hurt people around me with words of actions that I later feel really ashamed off.

Curiosity: A racoon. I have a knack of letting my curiosity lead me into rather weird situations. ( Like making a bet I could climb a tree... I did.. and couldn't get back down).
Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabis ad capul tuum saxum immane mittam.

- I have a catapult. Give me all the money or I will fling an enormous rock at your head.

[...unWARP!!!]

Good evening.

Jaguar: mysterious, shy, deadly, powerful, hidden, but cuddly if you know how to handle it.

Owl: wisdom, and I like to read, also nocturnal, quiet

Ixcuincatl (Aztec bald dog): mainly because it's ugly

and perhaps a rabbit: shy, and hard to catch
