I just remembered something... Ben mentioned that he was of "mixed heritage". =\ Any idea what heritage that is? Or is that something to be revealed when he visits his parents? (if he's any indication, they're not very discriminating themselves; 'course, they might just be like Jewish parents, wanting him to find a "nice ursine girl" =P )
In any case, let's hope the rest of the reunion goes smoothly enough. =) Go Ben! ^_^
Bwahahahahahahah! Now THAT was cool!

Good evening.
We know his mother is a bear as well, though we have yet to see his father. He could be a mix of Brown Bear, Black Bear, Grizzly, and/or Kodiak, though I think Ralph assigned him as a Brown Bear (Ursus arctos). Grizzlies are a subspecies (Ursus arctos horriblis), Kodiaks (Ursus arctos middendorfi) are from Alaska and nothern Eurasia. Black bears (Ursus americanus) are somewhat smaller.

Assuming, of course, that the posse doesn't open fire at extreme range with weapons suitible for artillery field pieces (Gunther), or get distracted by a butterfly (Velvet), then yes, Ben has a considerable advantage. I'm wondering if Gramps is even hearing a word of what Ben is saying to him- He's got that glazed "far off place" look on his countinance.

Case in point, despite the mugging prior to this:UncleMonty wrote:Ben has a real advantage, in that nobody can sneak up on him if the "posse" is on watch.
That's pretty good, right there.
