Ah, yes... Now it all becomes clear!
I was thrown off both by the seeming size and power of the "evil clown" compared to all of Ben's other characteristics / avatars, and the presence of evil clowns in the storyline prior to this twist. Time to find my Petra albums and play "Kill the old man" a few times...

So, Mr. "Reality" is really just another member of the Posse, albeit an evil one? Well, it seems Ben knows exactly what to do in these cases.
Though I *do* wonder what will happen when he wakes up. Will he be on the couch, or on the ship?
Then again, if the Posse knew he was dreaming when the clown came in, wouldn't they have known that the whole Schlock Adventure was also a dream?
