My goodness, apologizing to the person he was speaking about... he really DOES fight dirty!<P>It's interesting, though not surprising, that it's Morty on his shoulder. The pessimistic buzzard seems to have given Ben the most consistently good advice. Let's face it: talking Ben into a mooning drive was hardly the act of a good conscience.<P>As the posse continues its independant existance, is it possible that they will themselves develop individual natures? They each seem to have a sense of "self;" they have seperate hopes, interests and personalities, and even fears. At what point are they no longer extensions of Ben's ego and become beings in their own right?

Heh!<P>I was wondering how the *beep* he was going to get out of this one. Amazing work, Ben. I'll have to write it down for future mishaps.<P>Garm (Who says what he's thinking, but generally after he can be reasonably sure the person he talks to thinks the same thing. A good rule of thumb.)

one sincere apology, delivered honestly...way to go, ben. the ball is in lily's court, and for that solid a shot, ben deserves her return to be a nice, gentle lob across the net, moving slowly towards him. he gets double kudos from me for taking it to the injured party without even knowing whether or not she knew what he'd said. in other words, he tried to make right what he did wrong, not just get back in good graces with the girlfriend. good job.<P>geo<P>------------------

Morty, after all, was sent on a guilt trip by Ben because he'd taken a vacation (and was able to take a vacation in the first place!). Slick isn't Ben's aggression, but he's capable of being aggressive (towards Velvet, at least). All of them have shown that they're capable of experiencing joy, pain, fear, etc. I'd say they're already independent beings. <P>Of course, that's just me. <P><P>------------------

I guess I'm not asking my question very well. I meant; Is there a point at which they will, in the vernacular, "get a life?" I don't expect that they will abandon Ben... but might they be interested in exploring the world on their own? Developing relationships? Perhaps Morty developing a crush on Frisky's phoenix Flick? (Hey... say THAT three times fast.)<P>or that matter, where DO the posse go when they're not working? Where was Morty during the Bad Moon Rising episode?

Here's a quick one: if they do develop more of a personality of their own (ack! Awkward structure...), at what point might the Posse members develop their own Posse? And can you imagine Ben's reaction? (Ben: Hey guys? Why's it so crowded in here? Slick: Um, Ben, I've got some folks you need to meet...)

The way I had read this, the posse represent Ben's personality. All of them together are him. If they developed independent aspects, those would become Ben's secondary aspects...<P>Is Ben developing a complex?
Ben could populate a complex!!<P>Just a little play on words there.
