I liked "Trustee from the Toolroom".

I just finished today "Redwall" by Brian Jaques. I hope the other dozen or so in the series are as good....

Edgar Allen Poe. Lewis Carrol. Mark Twain. Ayn Rand. Arthur C. Clarke. Robert Heinlein. Spider Robinson. Anne McCaffrey. Ursula K. LeGuin. Marcedes Lackey. Anne Rice as "A. N. Roquelaure". George S. Clason. David Eddings. David Weber. J. K. Rowling. Elizibeth Moon. Douglas Hofstadtler. William W. Johnstone.<P>These are just the ones I've got unpacked and shelved in my room... guy gavriel kay (for a sample of Kay's early work, check out the silmarillion--he did most of the actual writing), george rr martin, brian jacques, connie willis, charles de lint, patricia mckillip, and the eternal jane austen, to name a few...i'm sure i'm forgetting one or two of my favorites, but the idea is there...<P>geo

My list of favorite authors is pretty large (and most of them seem to be British too...hmm...).<P>Brian Jacques, E. A. Poe, Bram Stoker (as if you didn't know), J. K. Rowling, Tolkien, Lewis...it goes on for a while.<P>As for this Diane Duane, I've never heard of her. I'll have to look into her work...once I finish all the books I've got.<P>Gah...I am SO backlogged on my reading... (Hitting four or five huge book sales in a row will do that to you.)

I've read up to <i>Marlfox</i> (I think <i>The Legend of Luke</i> is the next one...need to find a copy).<P>The series has a few flaws, but it's definitely one of my faves. Will we see Beltane again? Undoubtedly.
