Sorry, didn't get back to this forum till this morning.

In a nutshell, (and no, I'm not the nut) Reccurent hernia. This round of surgery exactly six months to the day of the last one. Now I have TWO 15" X 20" pieces of gortex lining my middle.

This and the last procedure were laproscopic, so now I have 16 holes poked in my tummy, ( l look like I tried to cuddle a porcupine) and the C section from Hell that I got two years ago. (Same problem)

I don't have anything to really brag about.

I have been inspected, injected, detected, neglected, and some things Arlo never thought of singing about. I did have a Teddy with me, which was a greater comfort than most could imagine. If you ever saw a middle aged man with a plushie in a death hug, then you know what it's like to have to cough with a belly full of sutures.

Not fun. But now I'm home, and can rest, recover, and get some real sleep for a change.

Thanks everyone. :)

David Adrian wrote:Ooh, but THIS raises some questions. How are Tagon's Toughs going to react to Posse People? And if the phenomenon spreads, who's going to have the most? (Sgt. Schlock should have the fewest - he's about the most single-aspected character in the outfit. But his person should get along great with Gunther... <shudder>)
Good question. Does Dr. Bunnigus (I like that name! :) ) know about such phenomenae, or did she think that it was Ben alone who was looking at her moons instead of those planets?

Gunther looked like he was in his glory in the earlier fight scene, (But I think I will have seen everything, when I see an elephant fly. . . ) but I wonder if Velvet would have been a better choice to ask the 'planetary' question. :o

Also, could Ben get a sign up bonus for adding the posse members to the ranks of Tagon's Toughs?

Dr. Bunnigus has bar shaped floating rank thingies, not planet shaped ones. This is obviously an imposter.
This space intentionally left blank.

With the stuff I've been on this week, they look like planets to me. %?}

Then again with the constant alarms, lights, and sadistic nurses waking me up to give injections and doing other medical minutiae, sleep deprivation beats the heck out of drugs for giving one hallucinations.

Being cut open, even by a doctor, is serious stuff..

I'm reminded of my friend who had quadruple heart-bypass surgery. It was astonishing, the mess they had to make of his chest. It really woke me up to the reality of surgery.
Here's hoping for a rapid recovery, and if you're not offended - perhaps a prayer.

It's amazing how far it has come along too. The recovery time is far shorter too. Now if they could only do something about those gowns :o

I don't have any objection at all to prayers. I am honored to know that others who hardly know me, would be concerned for my well-being and I thank you. :)

Blame it on my upbringing, I guess.

That thing about "The Good Samaritan", y'know.
Just don't ask to borrow money... I'm not THAT good.

And Samaritans are so few and far between that when I see one, I acknowledge them and thank God that they exist.

Borrowing money? No, I'd rather have friends then creditors. :D

One of the mysteries I don't remember being addressed was how closely tied together Ben and the posse are. If Ben hit someone, would Gunther's hand hurt? If he got really scared, would Velvet suddenly have to go potty? We know there is an emotional component, but is there a physical connection as well?

I'd have to say "no". The Posse did not seem to suffer the same maladies as Ben when he went dancing on sore feet or was brutally beaten by a street gang. This precedence leads me to believe the ties are mental/emotional and not physical.

I phrased it poorly, but I have a feeling that they all will share something physical shortly. :o Stepping in one's commanding officer isn't exactly considered an intelligent act, especially for rookie recruits.

At least 'glop' isn't as offensive as what could have been said. :(

I have to wonder what Morty is transmitting. Or receiving.
Dex Lives No, I'm not the author. I just think you should read it.

And look! Slick is wearing a VISOR! I wonder if all the visual info that thing puts out will give him headaches, too.
