Maybe it's a lot in other places, but when we get an inch of rain, all you hear is this sudden SLUUUUURRP and the ground soaks it straight up... it's like that up to about three inches, and then it starts rolling off in bulk.

[...unWARP!!!]

Good evening.

And the winner is......

...with 35.88% of the votes (runner up got 35.31%, golly)...

...that is, a difference of 238,022 votes (who said "your vote doesn't count?" bah)

Felipe Calderón Hinojosa (right wing and Catholic backed)

Still, with only 1/3 of the congress, it looks like it's going to be 6 years of more of the same.

However, leftist Andrés Manuel López Obrador is NOT recognising the result (even though he said he would just 48 hours ago), and he has called for a rally this Saturday in the main square of Mexico City, possibly to make public his tantrum and to make public "irregularities" in the final official count. This doesn't look good.

The prayer request is for:

1. That the council of the evil be disrupted
2. That the weapons of the evil turn against them
3. That the evil be put down and the righteous be raised up, and
4. That any weapons formed against Christians in the next administration be also put down.

PAN wins. Fatality.

¡Zacatepóngolas!

Until next time, remember:

Good evening.

Note that once again, it's the Lefties who can't play the game and accept the outcome like adults.

They're whining about 'fraud' when it's pretty likely that both sides pretty much cancelled out in that department. It's generally what politicians do. They're just mad that they didn't steal more votes.

Is there any truth to the reports that Obradon was deliberately challenging conservative districts to distort the initial counts and make it look like he was winning, or is it just like up here where the rural districts are more conservative and slower to tally?

Nah, the map shows that the northern states are for the PAN, the southern are PRD, and the official count started with the southern states, so at first he SEEMED to be winning, until the northern states started giving their totals.

And of course, he starts whining because his views of self importance go "THHBBTTT!" :P

My prayers go out for you and Mexico, JAM!

I've been following the story in one of our local newspapers (Pittsburgh Tribune Review) and they mentioned that the international observers found little evidence of fraud, some negligence and stupid mistakes, but no fraud. The article went further to mention that the Mexican system right now is a model for other countries to use because it is so tamper resistant.

Again, my prayers for a better future for Mexico.

And what's more, ALL the parties that lost are recongising the PAN's victory....except the PRD.

So they definitely don't want a rematch, eh? The -anyone but these idiots- vote would be pretty strong?

I doubt they'd even run, just to make sure PAN wins again. Also, the PAN's victory is now being recognised internationally, but the PRD is still throwing tantrums.
