A sleeper hold cuts of circulation to the brain via blocking both carotid arteries and/or the jugular veins without compressing the airway.

The person will regain consciousness in about 10-20 seconds after passing out and blood begins flowing to the brain again.

I have been choked out by one of these once and I have to say it's not plesant. Here's hoping Nip know's what he's doing or else he could wind up killing her.

well, the origional strip implies Nip still couldn't get in a squeeze, but hopefully the coregrophers knew what they were portraying. I actually discovered the series starting with the one before that.

no, it's a straight up KO. A TKO would be in an organized match if one's opponent had a semi-serious injury but still conscious (a cut over an eye is a fairly common TKO if you don't have a good cut man).
