Yes that is Gb as in Gigabit through a cellular phone connection. With that speed and the wide area of coverage distribution will be pretty easy. :o :o

Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

eh, just another numeric upgrade.

wake me up when they learn to do something different, not just when they learn how to do it more and faster.

I'm thinking like when they learn to build blasters and forcefields, not cell phones that can hold my pc's worth of memory and transmit/recieve it in a matter of seconds.
I still say the doctor did it....

Well, Vital Technologies made a tricorder; it could detect EM fields, determine temperature, act as a mini-weather-station, and even determine exact colors. Unfortunately, the company went out of business after selling just 10,000 of them. Here's a page with a pic:

(And before you ask, there are none on E-Bay.)

Of course, there are many nice tricorder sims... but why have a tricorder that doesn't actually do anything?

Yours truly,

The wolfish,

Wanderer

Tricorders would be nice. Phasers would be better. If only they didn't look like fancy remote controls.

Give me a Blas-Tech DL-44 pistol any day of the week.
