just wanted to say hi I guess. I'm too young to talk about politics but I want to do the animated movies for this comic and make my own, but I guess I had to introduce myself first.

Greetings T.S.A.O. Dunno why you'd think yourself the "Village Pariah" because you think you're too young to discuss politics or that you'd like to animate these strips.....but welcome to our little asylum....err FORUM that is. My name is S'aaruuk (Sha-Rook) resident giant mutant alien space wolf..*extends paw*......I'm very pleased to meet you.
While we may seem like a bunch of furry wack-o's with a great love of SciFi and Fantasy, one thing I've learned is that these 3 forums seem to attract a disproportionate percentage of
highly intelligent folk. While you may not understand politics, and we
do sometimes get into some rather intense philosophical and theological disucssions here.....I can promise you that if you hang out here long enough, you can't help BUT learn quite a bit about a great many subjects.
We never preach, we occasionally try to
gently teach, or more correctly, inform, and at least for me, there
is no such thing as a stupid question.....other than the one not asked.
So my young friend, do not feel inferior, do not feel intimidated, and above all, do NOT feed Solidus after midnight

......just pull up a beanbag and join us, you are most welcome here.
Oh BTW.....VERY nice avatar.

Welcome, t.s.a.o.

Good to meet you.
Unfortunately, I can't claim to be too young to talk about politics (wish I could - but far too many other college students seem to have a great deal of interest in the topic for that to be plausible

). I can, however, say I have absolutely no desire to do so.
But we do discuss other stuff around here, though, honest. We cover just about every tangent a person can think of (especially when they bring it up

) and
sometimes we even talk about the comics themselves.
And to add to S'aaruuk's advice I would add that it's generally not a good idea to feed Solidus at all.
Oh, yeah, and beware of the explosives.

Welcome t.s.a.o (hehehe, everyone else so far has been including the dots so im not going to be the first to break it

)
If you're going to be staying you'll want to keep these things with you at all times *hands him a fireproof jacket, fireproof pants, a fire blanket, a fireman's helmet and a pair of oven mitts*
That should keep you safe from any flame wars ... they're about the only dangerous things on here (besides solidus

)
again, welcome to the asylum

What, flame wars here!? Perish the thought! (careful, Blastech, don't scare away the normals, we have a quota to maintain!)
* extinguishes the tip of his tail from reading the last heated discussion thread... *
Anyways, Welcome to the forum, t.s.a.o. I hope you enjoy it here and achieve your dream!
Speaking of dream, there's jello and dream whip in refrigeratorhenge down on level g-17. Please feel free to stop by for a visit and a snack, just be sure to pick up a guide to find the appropriate 'fridge.

Well,... yes, I suppose other activities could be arranged, but this
is supposed to be a family friendly forum.
Albeit, I must agree, is lime jello really suitable for public consumption
OOhh! that's right I almost forgot about my Winter Frosted Port-a-john treats! I'll have to whip up a batch immediately!

What, you mean the jello and dream whip weren't for the forum food fight?

Awww, bother, I was looking forward to that.

Too young to talk politics? You're never too young to talk about any subject you wish, t.s.a.o. If you feel underinformed, hang around and learn - if you're just not interested, skip those parts. No need to put yourself down, though.
I'm the resident bat (what? No, that does not mean I'm a moonbat! Who said that?) and one of the local science geeks (I teach physics in real life). Feel free to ask about anything, you'll probably find someone here to discuss it.

Hello t.s.a.o.! Nice to have you here.
I'm kind of a quiet one myself--I don't chime in very often unless I have something I feel is important to say--but I figure saying hello to a newbie is pretty important. Gotta be cordial and all that.
We're cool, just a piece of advice--if you see Solidus running, do your best to keep up.
And you're never too young to start learning about how the world works. I'm not asking you to participate in the political discussions, but look through them. The only thing I'll really ask you to do is keep an open mind and look at as many sides as possible before you take a stance one way or another. The old adage of "know thy enemy" applies in force. If you know where your opponent is coming from and why he's saying the things he's saying, you'll be better able to defend your own position. If you aren't sure about something, ask. Most folks here would be glad to answer your questions, I'm sure (I know I would be). We don't know everything, but between all of us we've got most of it covered.

who is Solidus? I can't say much about sci-fi either unfourtanately, I'm having a hard enough trouble as it is evading the VGP majors and their UT level frenzies. But I have a hard ehough time getting my cartoon ideas out much less political issues. Oh, my ackronem, it's missing the preposition "of," otherwise it would sound more ridiculus. Have you heard of the Native American Legend about the Ancient of Otters? I'm his son.

One of the forum members, and also one of the chief members of the GTGa/oUDG (Great and Terrible Global and/or Universal Destruction Group). S'aaruuk is also one of this group, and... well, I can't think of everyone, but anyone else who is generally fixated with fire, explosive materials, and/or the use of such things for destructive/dangerous purposes can be named a member of the group at a given time, as well.
I am not a part of the GTGa/oUDG, btw. I'm actually a part of the "resistance" against it (though we don't do much more than tease... or maybe we just want it to
seem that way...

): the Alliance of the Mostly Fanciful, or the A(M)F.
t.s.a.o wrote: I can't say much about sci-fi either unfourtanately,
Eh, the great thing is that you don't need to know much in order to just be silly. I do a lot of that.

(Oh, btw, here's some of the green jello for the food fight. *Hands over said ammunition supply* )

See, right here you know something I don't

- what's "VGP" and "UT"?

VGP are AICASF students striving a Visual Game Programming major. They use Unreal Tournament for expermentation all the time. As for me I'm MAA-Media Arts and ANimation, but I want to couple it w/Game Art & Design for fun, but I barely got enough Financial Aid for this degree. Plus its intensive-a three yeatr program but mine was extended two quarters. So far all I can do is draw, use Adobie Photoshop and Macromedia Flash MX 2004 (we havent gotten 8 yet), and Bryce 5 (personal interest). When I can afford it I can make storyboards too, but I have no movie ideas as yet for this comic, I don't think spinning off the strips like everyone else did would do it justice...let me know if you have any ideas....or character profiles....that may be important....maybe a screenplay, those are really hard to write....
